So, the baseline for Alban Reva is WAY up there, so my comments have to be viewed through that lens. Even after decanting (admittedly for on 30 min), this wine is really closed. It's got great potential, but unless you have time to give it a few hours, it's not going to be anywhere near where it could be (so, great instead of ethereal!).

Had to pull this after 08 Terry Hoage Hedge. This is dense and dark, black cherries and lots of cocoa, with smoke, tobacco. Something a little odd on the nose-mediciney-kept changing. Big fine tannins, ends with tar.
