Uncorked this beauty on Friday thanks to the generosity of my bud Joe!!! @Joe Lucca . I loved this bottle!!!! Globs of fruit, well rounded and lush. Stylistically, It definitely has the trademark Russell Bevan footprint of being big, bold and beautiful! Decanted 2 hours and it was purring!!! 👍. Thank you bud!!

Wow. Russell Bevan on point here. Inky in the glass with a garnet-purple rim. Gorgeously fragrant nose; blueberries, leather, oak, and cinnamon dominate. The broad shouldered palate is quite light on its feet. Bright blueberry, red currant, clove, cinnamon, charcoal, tobacco, and graphite. Love the Old World (Bordeaux) approach here. Finishes with nicely balanced acidity and some green peppercorns. Just popped and poured, will update as this gets some time in the glass. Immediately approachable and enjoyable.

Second best cab I've had behind 2012 Cade Reserve. Amazing flawless balance--velvety chewy tannins, mellow fruit, dirt/rust in perfect harmony.

Really nice nose; dark toasted oak, molasses, cookie dough, mint, pen ink, and charcoal. A little tight on the palate even after 4 hrs in the decanter. Smokey, mineral rich blackberry fruit is a bit muted behind grippy tannins. Finishes with some heat on the finish. Paired well with a prime steak as the richness rounded things out nicely.
