Mendoza Malbec

Good, drinkable Malbec. The fruit was a bit more tart than I was expecting but there was a minerally complexity that kept it interesting.

One of the better Argentinian Malbecs I've had.

Ripe, fruity, tasty, and dark.

All the fruit on the nose and yet savoury on the palate. I'm not a lover of Australian Malbec but this is much more my style.

Had to celebrate my return from Argentina with….what else than a Malbec from Mendoza!! Spicy, edgy Malbec with fine grained but grippy tannins. Limited finish. A bit too single note for higher score. Had expected a bit more from Achaval Ferrer.

Very drinkable. Fruity. Mellow. Good sipping wine. Go well with chicken or fish dishes because quite light. Berry forward. #berryforward Initially a bit of cloud feeling. After a couple hours open feels much more full bodied.

Slightly peppery like all malbecs but hints of plum jam, smooth on the palette, and great with seafood like calamari as well as with red meats.

Plum jelly and spice with darker toasty notes at the end. Tasty and rich.
