Pure blackcurrant perfectly articulated with dark chocolate, blue fruit and pipe tobacco. Mostly cab that made me think older Dominus, a Bordeaux style in Napa. In a perfect place with a few hours in decanter.

A superb bottle of the 05 Madrona Ranch. A bit fleshier and deeper than two other recent bottles, but still on the more delicate side of things for Abreu.

My first Abreu and it did it disappoint. Regal and refined, this is pure and does not overdo it in any sense of the word. #abreu

Very big wine after an hour of decanting drank smooth. Big finish. Blackberry, Smokey completely delicious. Finish lasted 10-15 seconds. Kept getting better.

This was just amazing tonight. Perfect blend of black cherry, plums, licorice, and earth tones, with broad palate and just enough acidity to keep everything lively and fresh. Killer.
