On the nose: Intoxicating savory nose of dusty funky earth, dark fruit, licorice, vanilla leather, slight menthol. Taste: smooth, creamy, silky, expressive palate wine with dark cherry, gravel, spice and a chocolate graphite long finish. YUM! In its drinking window with some time to go.

Feb 11th, 2023Color - dark ruby muted red with definite bricking. Nose - sweet cherry fruit, floral mint and earthy scents with hints of menthol and vanilla. Taste -a nice rich layered and full body wine. Cherry, chocolate currants coat the palate; expressions of espresso, graphite and tar linger with a long somewhat tannic finish. Luv this wine and a definite must try! Happy Saturday!!! This wine stunningly tasteful; had to change my rating.

Jun 6th, 20211.5 hour decant (lots of chunky/fine sediment). An unbelievable deep dark ruby red with a little bricking. On the nose: jumping from the glass are sweet cherries, slight funky earth, mint, floral, slight menthol, vanilla leather. Taste: A smooth, rich, layered full body wine with dark cherries, chocolate, currants, spice, minerals, and a charcoal graphite long dry finish. Some tannins still present and will wait a couple years to open my remaining bottles...but, still rocking it this Saturday night!!! YUM.

Abreu is my wife's favorite producer. Any wine he has his hands in she and I love. His 04 madrona ranch has big beautiful dark fruit the defines the nose and mid palate. Dark berries and plums. Get a hint of dried floral notes as well as cedar. Finish goes on and on and has burnt cedar and marshmallow notes.
