This is a lovely Amarone,
With a nose of barnyard, and graphite. With a licorice intro, Tobacco, black cherry, truffle, slate, rich, over-ripened prune.
Dense and dark with an immensely weighty mouthfeel.

I actually visited this vineyard two months ago and had a private tasting with the owner Denis Zeni. I'm not a big merlot fan but like this one so much I bought a few cases. It's full bodied with hits of black cherries, strawberry and tons of red fruit. In my opinion this wine is not one dimensional like most merlots. Albeit this winery is known for its Cabernet Franc which I love. — 8 years ago

Bright nose filled with cherry and strawberry. Bright, crisp and juicy on the palate. Bright, sour cherry leads crisp acidity and a nice richness. The finish is tart and bright and delicious.
