Beautiful dark & mid red fruits with floral heaven. Both this wines are a yin & yang heaven with this dish.
Stupendous flavors built into this dish by Chef Hedy. Richness with great seasoning.
If you live in & around the greater Bay Area, you owe to yourself to attend one of the dinners Hedy holds 4-5 times a year. Not only is the food amongst the very best we had, the people that attend and environment are as equally good. Find Hedy @Plate&Bottle — 6 years ago
Greasy garden smells, stalks of tomato, green pepper. I would swear this was Chilean by the nose..
Roasted sugarless berries, a fog of smokiness, ending with light tannins blended with acidic whispers that cone in and out of the tannins, as of a yin and yang.

Tobacco and Leathery notes - very earthy and savoury. An intriguing wine showing the Yin and the Yang of both sweet and savoury on the palate in the red cherry spectrum. Full of life in its 14th year. Soft supple persistent tannins. A great Rioja with another 5 years in it. The No. 1 Wine in 2013 Wine Spectators Top 100. — 7 years ago

What a knockout nose. Just a knockout. Smoked meats, olives, such lift, granite, flowers, gravy, so so aromatic. Mesmerizing. Such depth. Head-spinning. Right out of the gates as well. Best Barge Côte Rotie to drink young. Palate is so meaty, olivey and gorgeous. Blackberry and blueberry fruit and such purity, finesse and freshness. Incredible balance. Velvety and sweet tannins and such incredible texture. Finish is so long. Like a winding path. As this airs it gets juicier, like mega juicy and peppery. Also inner mouth florals up the ying yang. — 5 years ago
Excellent example of the true potential of Chardonnay in California. Perfect ripeness, ripping acidity, lovely texture and delicate aromatics. Love the subtle matchstick reduction and the soft, neutral oak treatment. Bright florals and intense minerality wedded to soft but defined richness is the yin/yang tension of this wine. Impeccable balance; destined for the dinner table where all fine Chardonnays deserve to be. Superb! — 7 years ago
It's early. But I love it. Thanks to Jerry Yang for putting this up for auction. — 8 years ago

The Southern Hemisphere yin to the yang of Solaia - structured and deep without being too weighty... wears 10 yes very well. #Harasdepirque #Antinorifamily #Albis2006 — 9 years ago
