Good choice !❤️ — 7 years ago
Opening the bottle to breathe the subtle oakiness hits you with some spiciness and a hint of dark fruit. Tasting it made my mouth dance. It is smooth with very little tannins. Mind you, merlots are my last choice, however this one sat around long enough to be very good. — 8 years ago
Acid for daaaaaays. Freddy is never the wrong choice — 9 years ago
So easy, so elegant. — 9 years ago
On its 20th Bday, just look at that color! Very pleased with the evolution. In a word: spicy! Nice balance, surprisingly firm acidity to block frame the alcohol punch. Served against a well seasoned home burger. So happy I have more from an original release purchase made with Dan Fredman during his Kermit Lynch days. Tasted from half bottle. 1cm ullage. — 10 years ago
2013. Not too heavy, very cherry, smooth finish. In a word: yum! — 10 years ago

Finally on the balcony...
I know I love this wine, so I should exercise patience. On open, it's crystal clean, ruby to pink to clear rim. Nose is evolving from initial raspberry and vanilla to mild petroleum and veggies. What I need patience with is the middle and end. Quite tart and the pucker carries through to the finish. Will update...
So the acidity balanced by about 20%. This makes this a good choice with a rib eye, but I max out at 92 points on this. — 7 years ago
Always a solid choice. Never had a complaint. — 8 years ago
This wine is good if a bit disjointed. It has nice length and dimension, but the tart fruit comes in fits and starts, and the tannins are dusty on the finish. Very Burgundian. — 9 years ago
Incredibly smooth. Terrific with pasta as well as veal. Opens nicely - decant and it will be a top choice on the favorites list! — 9 years ago
An easy choice for a can with consistency. Love it with a red sauce Italian night — 10 years ago

I enjoy this red blend more than most and will continue to have a bottle on hand as it makes me happy. Not good enough? See other, longer, reviews if you want adjectives. Alternatively, buy a bottle and try it for yourself and share with a friend at a party. It’s a fan favorite for-a-reason. And that reason doesn’t have the word “berry” or “legs” or “mocha” — 7 years ago
