Incredibly smooth. Terrific with pasta as well as veal. Opens nicely - decant and it will be a top choice on the favorites list! — 10 years ago

Wine from our Fredericksburg trip. From 4.0??? — 8 years ago
Opening the bottle to breathe the subtle oakiness hits you with some spiciness and a hint of dark fruit. Tasting it made my mouth dance. It is smooth with very little tannins. Mind you, merlots are my last choice, however this one sat around long enough to be very good. — 9 years ago
This wine is good if a bit disjointed. It has nice length and dimension, but the tart fruit comes in fits and starts, and the tannins are dusty on the finish. Very Burgundian. — 10 years ago
Tastes like the soil and grass where this comes from. Needs something to go with, very nice that way — 10 years ago
An easy choice for a can with consistency. Love it with a red sauce Italian night — 11 years ago
Lovely, ready to drink Cabernet. Refined choice from California. — 11 years ago
Excellent, excellent wine. Produttori is always a good choice. They only make the riservas in certain years, and when they do they make all 9. Asili is known for being one of the more refined. This is so aromatic it’s crazy - stuck the decanter in the fridge to cool a bit, and the whole fridge was perfumed. Definitely needs to be served at 60 degrees or below, and needed a couple hours for the tannins to integrate properly. But this is really nice. — 8 years ago
Great choice full body dry cherries long finished red deep purple — 9 years ago
Berries, kumquats and toasted bread. Lighter bubbles, right and elegant. One word: TITTS. — 10 years ago
2013 another great vintage. Always a solid choice, year after year. — 10 years ago
Easy drinking, lightly tart. — 11 years ago

I enjoy this red blend more than most and will continue to have a bottle on hand as it makes me happy. Not good enough? See other, longer, reviews if you want adjectives. Alternatively, buy a bottle and try it for yourself and share with a friend at a party. It’s a fan favorite for-a-reason. And that reason doesn’t have the word “berry” or “legs” or “mocha” — 8 years ago
