2015 vintage. Fresh peach, lime, green apple, white raspberry, pineapple, a little wintergreen, fresh white flowers, honeysuckle. — 7 years ago
Take a dill pickle from a good deli and bash it around in a well-made humidor then set that whole affair in front of a bowl of blackberry conserves. Et voila! Initial impressions. With air, this sheds the dill and cedar and replaces it with wintergreen. Overall a beautiful expression of a difficult and contentious variety. Satisfy your curiosity here; you'll enjoy it. — 9 years ago
Green olive, black licorice, wintergreen, black pepper...so velvety and smooth. — 9 years ago
Reminds me that I could always use more Rioja in my life. Nom nom nom!! Wintergreen tobacco, boysenberry, black cherry, dried herbs de Provence, sopprasetta, summer sausage, violets. — 10 years ago
Did the 2011 North and South Block comparison with Thanksgiving dinner. North was a bit darker in color and heavier in body (and had more of an alcohol mouth feel) and went better with food/the whole meal. Fabulous nose of leather and wintergreen. — 10 years ago
My last bottle of this stuff. Really excellent Pinot. A touch of wintergreen on the finish. Super balance, medium bodied, served with a slight chill, can't get enough! — 10 years ago
"From the slurp factory of Barossa," single vineyard from Ebenezer. Lifted nose: milk chocolate, wintergreen, vanilla extract, brambly dark berries. Bright on the palate with rich forest berries, finishes strong with black raspberry tart. In a great place right now! — 11 years ago
From last week's tasting led by Martine Saunier, this Basque Cabernet Franc has much to offer. I love Cab Franc, personally, with all of its aromatic funkiness and rustic charm. Herri Mina Irouleguy does this, along with notes of forest floor, wintergreen and pie cherries. Silky on entry, the tannins hit the sides of the mouth. Finishes with pink peppercorn and Herbs de Garrique. Retails for around $33.00. — 11 years ago
Great dessert wine. Yummy with dark chocolate. — 12 years ago

Licorice, wintergreen - fascinating! — 8 years ago
Inky and thick in the glass, pure velvet on the tongue, berry muffins and wintergreen on the nose. The weight of the wine is masterfully offset by the undercurrent of acidity and the tannins literally melt through the finish. As mysterious and intense as the bottle it comes from. — 9 years ago
A wall of cedar coated in turbinado crystals, sweet tea, vanilla mist, wintergreen and wildflower honey up the two-hole. Really a gorgeous array. Orange blossom honey, pine nut, rock candy, lemongrass, cocoanut, cocoa powder, soft vanilla, sweet tobacco, coffee candy, brickle notes, squash blossom, poppy flower, and the worlds most perfect raisin. As delightfully indulgent as drifting carelessly down a clean river in spring and being enveloped in an endless array of budding flora! — 9 years ago

Showing really well. An interesting and elusive wintergreen/minty character on the finish. — 11 years ago
This is extremely resonant of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Cool damp forest floor with bright hibiscus, wintergreen, and tart cherry notes. Touches of cremini and cotton candy keep me sipping. A classic. — 11 years ago
Wild herb aromas, menthol and must. Bell pepper flavors - wintergreen, fennel. Velvety tannins, musty-dark berry in the background. — 11 years ago
Delicious. Stemmy. Light funk. Cranberry. Tart but balanced. Violets and liquorice and wintergreen. — 7 years ago
Dry paper with a Wintergreen and eucalyptus finish — 9 years ago
Dense velvety personality with a dark core of fruit leading out to rich chocolate, fresh wintergreen and spice. The dark side of Delicious. — 9 years ago
Herbal and wintergreen inflections, but still good purity. — 10 years ago
Complex, sweet spice and herbal elements of mace, anise, candied ginger and wintergreen, soar aromatically above the deeper fruit scents which can best be described as fresh-baked blueberry pie. The flavors are a port lover’s tour-de-force, with a dynamic flavor profile of cassis liqueur, wild elderberry and rich, decadent dark chocolate. True Portuguese style dessert port wine. The bright gold '11 Herman Story White Rhone Blend 'Tomboy' is not a lightweight summer deck wine. Gorgeous stewed peach, lemon, fresh-cut honeysuckle and nutty aromas rose from the glass. A hefty and rich mouthfeel with a refreshing acidic wintergreen minty quality. Very energetic through the palate and finishing dry, clean and long. — 11 years ago
Nose of peat moss and sweet wintergreen, taste would go excellent with barbecue beef, maybe with a little salt on the meat. — 12 years ago
