Strong chocolate aroma, tastes like a Hershey's chocolate bar but better. Highly recommend, worth the price. — 10 years ago

Deep, rich, smells of forest berries. Perfect with the Catalan specialty Pa'amb tomaquet — 12 years ago
Australia makes a specialty of blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz and one of the better examples is Penfolds Bin 389. This is an excellent mature wine, doing it easily at 15 years of age, and will go on. Notes of black currant and mint but at this age all the descriptors just melding into "damn good claret". Perfect with roast lamb. 60% Cab Sauv, 40% Shiraz. 2001 vintage. — 9 years ago
I got a chance to visit the maker of this great port. It's well worth the drive to Troy ny. The port is great too — 10 years ago
Total barn yard nose. Once it hits your palate you experience a fruity taste. A light peppery, smooth finish. Had it with a specialty diablo dish. After an hour you experience less fruit with a bit of chalky finish. — 10 years ago
The BEST tawny port in the FLX. Not a lot of options obviously, but Winemaker Bell shows his specialty and care here. — 10 years ago
Very nice, full of flavour & very smooth — 11 years ago

We do not normally like Pinot Noir but this Pinot was to our liking. It had a great light finish with very soft tenants. Went well with our specialty pizzas from CPK. — 12 years ago
Bold yet balanced, bright red fruit bursts on the tongue, slightly dry in a pleasant way. I mostly pick up Zinfandel (Ravenswood's specialty) but there's hints of the Syrah as well. Interesting and enjoyable. More pronounced than other blends I've had. — 9 years ago
The oldest Port wine house since 1638 - delivers again its specialty a great and classic colheita, very gourmand in its style, it is elegant and fine with great and long acidity, much vanilla notes and spicy profile, maybe missing a bit of length - however a great port :) #portwineday #winelover — 10 years ago
Enjoyed this wonderful bottle of wine over an amazing lunch at La Vieja Bodega in Rioja. Went so nicely with the regional specialty of roasted lamb and the postre plate of cheese — 10 years ago
Showing its Bordeaux roots, this Malbec dominated blend has a deep purple color and, after decanting, offers brambly black fruit and graphite aromas. Nicely balanced and somewhat chewy with black currant and cedar notes. Lingering, brooding and evolving over time. A lovely pairing with another Argentinian specialty: beef. — 10 years ago
Santa Margherita - Pinot Grigio 2011 - Italy - Love this wine. Light and crisp. John and I first had this wine in the Southern Caribbean on a cruise at a specialty restaurant for our anniversary. — 12 years ago

1998 vintage. Brilliant wine with some sediment. Powerful and strong. Always a specialty for this winery who were one of the earliest adopters of Zinfandel in Australia. — 9 years ago
