Deep gold. Honeyed apple and snowblower on the nose. Rich mouthfeel of pears and peach, yet the finish was quite short. Still, ripe with elegant acid showcasing the vintage. Drink up. — 10 years ago

VDP auction bottling. Hard to describe this one as its weightless and in complete balance. There's no hard edges anywhere, but still one of the most hardcore wines that I've ever tasted. The acid level tips the scales and its tart citrusy profile does include some tropical fruits but this this wine is all about its acid drive and nervous minerality. Unique. — 11 years ago

Auction! Just goes to show not all #Riesling 2003s suck! Schaefer BA is another testament to the most underrated "great" vintage-HA! #31DaysGermanRiesling #SOR @SummerRiesling — 13 years ago

2011, Willi Schweinhardt, Langenlonsheimer Rothenberg Spatlese, Nahe, Riesling. This was surprisingly good. Great acidity, tangerine, lime zest, apricot and just enough residual sugar. — 11 years ago

Really enjoy this wine. Tastes like grapefruit — 10 years ago
Nice. At the same price not as nice as the Willi Schaefer from a few nights ago but more (nearly bone) dry. This was with spicy Asian food. Great nose. — 10 years ago
2010 ....outstanding. Possible wine of the vintage? Thx to Willi for the req! — 11 years ago
Austrian Gewürztraminer from 2006, 13.5%. Excellent color, bright and intense. In the nose the botrytis is not too excessive, and there are pleasant notes of eglantine. In the mouth the right balance between sweetness and acidity. — 13 years ago
