Bcc Oregon wine tasting — 6 years ago
Bright medium yellow in color with aromas of lemon, green apple, and white flowers. The palate is driven by racy acidity and stony minerality. Combines fruit from predominantly Nekia soils in Salem’s Bunker Hill, Eola-Amity Hills including Lingua Franca Estate Vineyard, Yamhill-Carlton, and a small contribution from Laubejac Vineyard near Monmouth in Willakenzie soils. Very pleasant entry level wine. 13% ABV. $35. — 8 years ago
Light berry on the palate. Very thin and light cherry on the nose. — 8 years ago
WillaKenzie Estate is located in Oregon's Willamette Valley in the Chehalem Mountains. The winery was named after the Willakenzie soil on which the vineyards are planted to convey the influence that the soil imparts on the wine's flavors and aromas. Ruby red with aromas of red fruits and floral spice notes. On the palate blackberry and cherry with pepper spice. Well balanced with good acidity on lingering finish with a spicy earthy ending. Good value wine from OR. — 9 years ago

Better on day 2. Solid Willamette Pinot but $50 price tag makes this a difficult re-buy. — 9 years ago

You’re going to have to just buy a bottle yourself and taste it to find out, peasant. (ok dark cherry forest floor that shit was good. I housed the whole bottle) — 6 years ago

Great Pinot Gris with fruit from Bishop Creek and Whistling Ridge vineyards, Willamette AVA. Willakenzie soil. Neutral French acacia and oak barrels. Only 380 cases produced so if you can find it - buy it! Delicious. Apple and pear. Soft on the palette. Touch of honey. Morphed as it aired. — 8 years ago

Purchased during 2017 visit to the winery. Vineyard is in Ribbon Ridge AVA with Willakenzie soils. Black cherry, raspberry and blueberry fruit, with orange zest, cinnamon spice, black pepper and violet notes. Blue fruit and spice driven. Almost has a touch of effervescence. Reminiscent of Beaux Freres. — 4 years ago
