I love Petit Verdot! Nice dark purple color. Very dynamic nose. It's musty, with lots of barnyard odors and hints of Macintosh apples and tomatoes. A little high in OH at 14.7%, but nice fruit, which is on the sweeter side. Surprisingly short finish. Definitely at the tail end of the drinking window. I'd buy more and will! — 8 years ago
Pretty good for a can of wine. I saw the ad at Whole Foods and thought I'd give it a try. Nice fruits rounds out with oak and a medium dry finish. This has been the best non bottle wine I've tried. I hope they start serving this on southwest or Hawaiian airlines. I might start drinking wine on my flights again. — 8 years ago

Spring on the West side is here! At least for today. A quart to help the cook get taco night prep done right. @Gary Westby is bringing his fire toasted salsa verde too! — 10 years ago
Really really like this one. Great flavor, minerality. At Vanguard Wine Bar Upp3r West Side — 7 years ago
With Collin. Nice finish. Creamy, full body. — 7 years ago
Lots of notes going on here. Pours a 'dehydrated straw' color into the glass. This one has a buttery nose, with peach and a hint of apricot. The entry is pretty luscious, some butter, peach, mango, ginger, and mid-palate that is a little more limestone and mineral-rich with an herbal side showing. The finish is dry, white pepper, very satisfying. More rounded start, drier finish. Has a little bit for everyone who goes to this wine. Not much of an expert in the field of Aussie Chardonnay, but this one is quite enjoyable. — 8 years ago

Somehow, I found this 15 year old Shiraz on the "everyday" side of my wine "area" in the basement. I have no clue where it came from...a gift? Knowing not what to expect, but concerned it might be beyond rescue, we opened it. Turns out, it was not only still drinkable, but quite delicious. Probably should have put it on the "nicer" side of my area. Great surprise. — 9 years ago
This is delish. Full flavour at the front with a soft finish. Not as dry as most reds—a bit on the sweeter side. — 9 years ago
Stone IPA is a classic West Coast IPA from San Diego the Mecca of many great beers. This bold, hop forward IPA will never be mistaken for a more refined East Coaster. With its absolutely tantalizing hop bitterness, piney tones and vibrancy this is a big bold awesome IPA. If you like IPAs like I do add this to your list. Touring the many wonderful San Diego breweries is on my bucket list. @Bill Bender Bill this one is for you Cheers 🍻 — 7 years ago
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our guest conductor David Newman is leading a live-to-picture performance of Leonard Bernstein’s score for “West Side Story”, originally directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins, and with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
For live-to-picture productions, the orchestra performs the entire movie score in real time as the film unspools. (Vocals, dialogue and effects are isolated from the original music track.) The BSO installed very fancy and large LED screens on the perimeter of the Shed facing the Lawn, amazing!
Very nice light Salmon color. Nice fruit, 50% Cinsault & 50% Grenache. Very tasty, much better than their still rosé. — 7 years ago

Another 1999 side by side. what to say. Classic blend perfected. — 8 years ago
Wow. This is great. It's obviously on the sweeter side but balances with a great sour and what I assume is a block of melted butter. Strongly recommend pairing with west coast oysters. — 9 years ago
West side rheingau 👐 Showed elegance and structure. No signs of slowing down. Great value and a great wine — 9 years ago
A sneaky easy to drink light 9.2% Belgian IPA. I could drink this pool side all day long! — 10 years ago

We were in the mood for a Rose, tried several decent yet forgettable rose’s until we stumbled upon this. Tavel is just west of Châteauneuf du Pap and many of the local Provence Rose’s come from this area. It has a very fresh nose and taste. Similar to eating out of a fresh bowl of slightly sweet and tart strawberries and raspberries, mixed in with some cherries, eating your full. Followed by a nice complimentary mineral taste. Enjoyed this a couple of times over the last few nights over cheese boards, carpaccio, fois gras, and on its own. As a side note, upon reflection, I’m learning that I have (for quite some time) given out lower ratings for wines I have really enjoyed secondarily for a fear of missing out on something else that should be rated “x” high score. Instead I have provided a “pseudo” cap of 9.5. From now on, I will do my best to rectify this, and remove the “fomo” handicap. — 7 years ago
