Leafy Margaret River characters without the fuller fruit often seen further to the north in Wilyabrup. Very restrained and approachable now. Cannot see it lasting 20 years as the label indicates. This is Voyagers best Cabernet blend in any given year and can usually compete with the big names in the region but not in 2010 IMO.

2010 Voyager Cabernet Merlot: (co-) varietal and regional. A wine of finesse, fine-boned structure. Longevity assured.

This 2010 beauty is 92% Cab, 8% Merlot. 4 days open and still going strong. We love our side jobs.

Rich and complex, the balance between varietals is near perfect and the use of oak is subtle but also evident and done with a sure hand.

Big pepper and violets on the nose. Blend is 89% cabernet, 7% merlot, 4% petit Verdot. Flavors are bright cherry, plum and blackberry even with the bit of age, and a masculine tobacco/leather finish.
