In the words of Chazz Reinhold, "MA.....THE MEATLOAF" This wine screams for food. Perhaps not meatloaf, but for a rack of lamb or a big steak. Huge wine. Dark fruits, pepper and wet stones. Great juice. — 11 years ago
This amazing little half bottle was still astoundingly fresh and vibrant, but best of all was the fact that it came from one of my first-love German Riesling vineyards, Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, and from the finest vintage of that decade - 1997! — 9 years ago
Watching this evolve; the wine has been open in gassed now for 5 days. The unctuous mouth is such a fine thing because it's not heavy at all, it's like a tartus, bigger on the inside than the outside: it's rightly contained in acid and can think is so many things it reminds me of and makes me want to eat/one of those wines. The best Vineyards are so Wise, They keep going and spur so many ideas. This could be medicine for a really sour day or total replacement for Bubbles in celebration. Intense. Somehow still light around the edges. — 9 years ago

Not too sweat. — 9 years ago
2011, imo better than the 2011 goldtropchen. Balanced auslese longlasting fruty-sweet raisin and nuts. Good — 10 years ago

Very nice and beautifully alive. Combined nicely with gravlax, gravwhitefish and smoked whitefish. — 10 years ago

This is the feinherb bottling, which is not in Delectable. It’s got a great sugar/acid balance and overdelivers for the price. Zero stores in the US carry it, but email Haart and they’ll ship it to you. — 7 years ago
