Pfalz Pinot Gris. Same vinery as the Pinot blanc but 2014, so one year younger. Interesting gold with lightest brownish tinge. First time I've encountered this colour.
Toast with dried pineapple jam, orange juice, later grapefruit, roasted sesame, oak.
Med body, balanced acidity, light silk. Feels lighter than PB despite oak. Oak and citrus, sprite palate. Grapefruit and dried pineapple aftertaste.
Overall oak is nicely balanced with nice fruit. — 10 years ago

Also, wer wissen will warum man auch in Deutschland Spätburgunder trinken kann, der kann sich immer problemlos an Kuhn wenden. Kuhns Qualitätsstreben und Konstanz sind verblüffend. Dieser 2007er war sensationell, tolle Länge und Saftigkeit, vielleicht ein Tick zu schwer, etwas mehr Eleganz täte gut. Aber es muss ja immer noch etwas zu verbessern geben. Auf die nächsten Flaschen freuen wir uns schon!

Very rich and dense, lots of bitters in the finish. Although it's quite good and certainly impressive, this is made in a style that doesn't really excite me. Probably better at the dinner table, than on its own. — 10 years ago
