Clear as spring water, with seemingly little to offer. Yet the concentration, purity and precision is amazing + a finish that last ages. Waaay to young to drink now, wait & wait even longer.
This is brilliant stuff. — 6 years ago
Bracingly tart cold, like a dry Oregonian. But what a nose and change when it warms up. Very aromatic. — 7 years ago
2009 vintage. At The Gardens restaurant, Munich. German Bordeaux blend - how bizarre, but it works! Medium ruby hue. Deep intensity of aromas: Black Forest gateau, savoury spices, body odour earthiness. Mineral and metallic. Some smokey aromas. Complex and deep. On the palate, dry, medium plus acidity, full bodied, medium tannin - ripe and rich. Satin mouthfeel. Long rich finish. Lovely. Much more impressive than the Knipser Cuvée X from the same vintage. Drink now until 2032. — 9 years ago

It improved over the year 👍 — 9 years ago
6 months with skins on the lees gives this wine its sherry-like colour and fantastic intensive flavour. Brioche, caramel and oak with more acid than 2012. Definately not for everyone but a very special wine — 5 years ago
Beautiful, deep yellow tones to this youthful wine. Cool riesling with intense yellow fruits and minerals while retaining a high acidity. Long finish with light spices, maybe, just maybe a hint of saffron. — 5 years ago
2004 ripe fruit concentrated good structure a hint of vanilla and chocolate still a great wine — 7 years ago
Die neueste Rosé-Linie aus dem Hause Knipser. Schöne Säure, leichtes Holzaroma ... darf auch gern noch ein paar Jahre liegen. Absolute Kaufempfehlung! — 8 years ago
Elegant SB! It appears light. Smooth, earthy with a hint of nuts. It fitted perfect to a garlic-goatcheese quiche; mmm — 9 years ago
Eine gern gesehene Cuvee aus der Pfalz, in der Preisklasse aus meiner Sicht in dem Jahrgang mit eine Referenz — 9 years ago
Very herby nose with the fruit well hidden. Quite powerful but amazingly approachable on the palate (just released). would benefit still from a few more years. Great wood mgnt. A very, very nice Pinot. — 7 years ago
Nice but a little too acidic for my taste. — 9 years ago

Sunday chill chardonnay *** from Knipser, Germany. They only make a couple of hundred bottles, once every few years when the vintage permits
Intense, bright golden color, the wine sticks to the inside of the glass.
Nose has citrus and orange peels, my son smelled autumn leaves.
Palate gives citrus fruit, white stones and a nice round mouthfeel and creamy texture.
Finsh is long and an extension of the palate.
