Late harvest sauvignon Blanc desert wine from Santa Barbara. Honey, Peach and apricot syrup ... Long finish like a Sauternes without botrytis ....Ernst is genius. — 10 years ago
Lovely apple-honey on the nose. Beautiful golden color. Low alcohol and medium body. Sweet on the front with a nice grapefruit and lemon peel finish. Recommended! — 10 years ago

Stone...wet concrete nose, with a pineapple topic fruitness and a lemon/lime ...key lime pie tartness. — 7 years ago
Delicious and quaffable this well balanced Riesling seemed to punch above its weight price-wise. — 7 years ago
Tasted following an interview with Ted Baseler (article on Chateau Ste. Michelle’s 50th Anniversary forthcoming in next month’s Somm Journal), the 2015 Eroica is the result of a long and fruitful partnership with Dr. Ernst Loosen. As such it sports an endearing touch of petrol on the nose, something I readily attribute to Rieslings from the Mosel. On the palate, its soft and round, with nice persistence. Gently dwindles to green tea and lime zest. 12.0% ABV 1.2% RS | Sample — 8 years ago
I don't drink much Chenin blanc, but this by far the best I've ever had stateside. Just an explosion of tropical fruit with an awesome mineralogy component. Like the taste of ocean water in your mouth while your driving home from the beach. Beautiful, Ernst Storm. — 9 years ago

Early in his career, Ernst Storm worked alongside his brother Hannes, who is also a winemaker, eventually leaving South Africa to pursue his career in California, and forming Storm Wines. Aromas of tart fruits, herbs and spices. On the palate cranberry and raspberry with herb mineral notes. Firm gripping tannins, lingering finish ending with earthy characteristics. — 7 years ago
Lovely and dry! Would buy a case! Not overly sweet — 8 years ago
Clear, pale and lemon in colour. Medium (+) intensity of delicious aromas that are unwilling to remain complacent as the wine sits in the glass. First opened up to fresh and brandied apricot being the sweeter note amongst some ripe citrus and green apple. Its developed into a nose of tangy lemon starburst, honeysuckle, orange blossom, some exotic tropical fruits and some feint slate-like character. Plenty of zippy, spritzy acid adding a little bit to a medium body. The palate is dry despite being lead down a potential off-dry path expressing its citrus qualities. Longer than medium finish, probably drank a little young. 3-5 more years and she'll be a peach 👌 — 10 years ago
