Red blend from Italy — 13 years ago
This Sicilian Grillo has a soapy, earthy nose that leaps from the glass, obscuring the mango and apricot fruit aromas. It is uncompromisingly mineral-driven. The palate is also full of the earth from which it comes, with a savory salinity that runs through the white wines of the Italian islands. The wine has great structure, with acidity enough to handle most food pairings that come to mind for a white wine. — 11 years ago

Very nice, but needs time. Quite tannic and currently hiding most of the dark fruit. — 11 years ago

Woah!! Hold up. Briny, sweaty, leesy, metallic, concrete laden, pure grape juice. I have to apologize to the Bay Area for drinking 50% of the only sample bottle I got of this lovely Trebbiano. Zero additive, niente chimica, senza solfiti, funky, natty, super delicious wine -day three showing strong- no VA no EA, same oxidative nose as when it was uncorked, which was fresh as lemon rainwater on hot concrete. I want to drink much more from this producer, and I am not biased, even though I am fortunate enough to sell it in Cali! The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is out of this world, truly one of the most unique I've ever tasted. If you see it, don't hesitate to expand your mind and liver on it. — 11 years ago
