A gift from my son in Germany. Hi it’s of honey and crisp green apples upfront. Only mildly sweet then a dry finish. — 7 years ago

Great example of German Riesling Auslese. A bit more developed than expected due to small bottle. Aromas of dry herbs, especially sage, honey, dried apricot, baked apple. Great acidity to balance the sweetness. Body is round and smooth, some hazelnuts and butter in the aftertaste — 8 years ago
Upean petrolinen, kypsän hedelmäinen ja tasapainoisen hapokas. — 8 years ago
Very lovely, heavyweight and excessive in a good way. I found it a bit too hot and unbalanced, Schloss Johannisberg eiswein from the same vintage showed much much better. Thanks again @Paul Wasserman — 9 years ago

Ren nytelse! Søtere enn det jeg normalt liker, men likevel frisk og lett! — 6 years ago
Kloster Eberbach Baiken Riesling Trocken 2011 (Gutsabfüllung aus dem Cabinetkeller, Rheingau)
Big, complex nose with lovely (although far from finished) maturity (petrol, struck match, butter). There’s also honey and ripe yellow fruit (and lots of it).
Wine is intensive on palate with a high, singing acidity. Nice mix of concentrated tropical fruits, spice and maturity notes such as honey, petrol, which makes the palate even more complex than the nose. Finish is long and like nectar.
With all the mature notes sitting in the first seat along with a high acidity - I would really like to try it again with some mature hard cheese. — 7 years ago

A very open and fruity style Valtellina. Nose has loads of rock-infused cherry juice, counterbalanced by some old library scents. Although the color is surprisingly light, the flavors are expansive, with fruit at the front end then giving way to what is essentially liquid stone flavors. Tannins there but in check, nice acids. Unique style. Great with crescia (basically Italian empanadas filled with greens, ham, and cheese, and fried in olive oil.) — 5 years ago
