Can age considerably but is round, tasty, juicy tannins and good acidity with good aging potential. Fruit bomb but with perfect definition and elegance. Never been a big fan, wish I was. But they do a nice Cab Franc. OK, I have learned - let breath, even decant, for 2-3 hrs. The longer the better. It really was burn at first, but give it some time, and it really popped. Smooth, dark berries, touch of funk, a little earth, iron, leather - all the nice things you expect from a Cab. Fresh, clean and refreshing, light White peach notes. Nose is attractive, but a little too cold on first taste, so slightly closed initially.
Off-dry blend of NY's Finger Lakes region Cayuga & Vignoles, nose is really opening up nicely with some air and warming of the wine in the glass. Not overly complex, but this is a solid buy for the $10/$13 (wine club/retail) price. — 8 years ago

This is a little bit behind the village Morey in development. Which is to say it shows similarly to the way the Morey did the first time I had it, but it's not as good as the Morey was the last time I had it, when it had really opened up and picked up a rich, voluptuous texture that transcended the village level. This one's not quite there yet, as it's still a bit disjointed with the cedary oak poking out, but there is a nice layer of plummy fruit underneath. — 9 years ago
