A fantastic day in Santa Clara! Enjoying this wonderful wine with lunch before seeing the Rolling Stones at Levi Stadium.. A blueberry dark cherry on the nose. The dark fruits, floral and spice burst in the mouth lingering with cassis, chocolate and vanilla notes. Medium finish and a beautiful dark purple color. — 6 years ago

After listening to a @Levi Dalton on I’ll Drink To That, I was reminded that Portuguese wine still exists (outside of Port!) is crazily priced& this bottle by a woman vintner intrigued. 80% Touriga Nacional & multiple varieties including a “5% other”. The intrigue continued with a lovely spice & herbal nose, w some dark red fruit compote. Body is decidedly smooth, no hard edges, medium framed but robust, & with a lovely grip & dark red/black fruits. At 13$& change, a year in used French Oak & another 6 months in bottle, that’s a lot of wine & craft for your dollar. Didn’t find the oak monster intrusive at all, very integrated & subtle — 6 years ago

Very interesting wine from the Azores. I heard the producer Antonio Macanita on Levi Dalton’s podcast and have been wanting to try - amusing to have the chance to do so off the northern coast of Newfoundland. Tons of ripe strawberry on the nose, and lots of light red fruit on first sip. With a bit of air the deeper earthy / volcanic notes come through, all knitted together with exceptional acid. Versatile pairing wine and generally both interesting and delicious. — 6 years ago

Holy extraction grandma. Imagine a bottle of Caymus and a bottle of MollyDooker (any MD, really) met at a party and hit it off.. the Caymus, being outgoing and forgetting it's manners, while slightly inebriated, started dancing a bit too close to the Molly Dooker. She, being equally overt, slightly even more intoxicated, and not being one to say no to a good time, gladly indulged and pulled him closer as the music roared louder. They made their way through the crowd, bumping and grinding, and stumbled out the door to Caymus' sup'd up '69 Mustang Mach 1. Molly, being a thrill seeker with a new found love for Rutherford but a bigger love for adventure, shouted at Caymus as he gripped the wheel - "let's leave this state in our dust!" The two sped across the countryside, hand in hand, and finally ran out of gas as they crossed the state line into Washington. It was there they made love. A lovechild was born. It's name - Levitation. Levi for short.

For those confused - it drinks like a lovechild of Caymus and Molly Dooker coming from Washington. Not bad juice. — 8 years ago

Nice color and aromatics of caramel and toffee. 39 years and shows a mix of age and soft maturity. Best with a light fruit based dessert like lemon or lime based cake perhaps. Fun to share at Bourbon Steak @ Levi Stadium. — 6 years ago
