Le Pigeoulet Vaucluse White Rhone Blend 2019

I really adored this wine in part because a good QPR always makes me smile. Rich, decadent, perfectly in balance. Smells like heavily spiced vanilla almond and fuzzy peach skin. It's oily and round with beauty in texture. — a year ago

How do you like the new Zalto’s? Near impossible to find the Universals.

My favorite glass for reds and some white. Not great for all white (Riesling for example). 10/10 for Pinot. They are on Amazon - $15 above retail but free to ship if you’re prime and it costs $15 to ship directly…

Appreciate the response. Will be ordering some from Amazon. Universals were good for Riesling. Need to find an alternative. Thanks.

La Royale Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

$45 bottle; was much lighter than other CdP, more like a Pinot. — 5 years ago

Domaine La Roquète Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2006

2006 vintage. Garnet color, some primary fruit (red cherry, black cherry, plum), but now showing lots of tertiary notes (leather, tobacco, dried herbs, dried fig, prune). 14.5% alcohol, medium acidity, full body. 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre. — 4 months ago

Vignobles Brunier Gigondas 2005

A terrific elderly bottle of Gigondas. All earth, herb, and mushrooms, with fruit taking a backseat at this juncture. Not at all tired. Still energetic and lovely. — 3 years ago

This review is for the white blend. Love it! Medium body, kinda rich and mineral. Long finish. Great acidity but very balanced. — 4 years ago

Le Pigeoulet Vaucluse Grenache Blend 2017

I couldn't recognize it, only one of the reviews below gave me a hint. A rosemary. Of course it's rosemary! :) And besides: red fruit and pepper (finish). Very good, robust wine. — 3 years ago

Le Pigeoulet Red Rhone Blend 2018

A lot going on the nose. Red fruit, black fruit, meat, leather. Would be a good wintertime wine. Too bad they’re sold out at Kermit Lynch. Devin gave it 💯 — 4 years ago

Clos La Roquète Châteauneuf-du-Pape White Rhône Blend 2016

So much richness and texture yet so drinkable. Phenolic and engaging. Subtleties abound, from white and orchard blossoms, citrus and stone fruits, beeswax, olive, radish, white pepper, tea leaves, stones. Approachable, elegant, yet cerebral enough to maintain conversation. — 6 years ago
