Makes my tongue fuzzy. At our fave spot. — 6 years ago
A wine that teeters on the edge of new and old world and toes the line well. Fresh stone fruit aromas and pineapple scents that meld well with herbs and citrus peel. Quite a complex nose. Flavors run the gamut around vanilla and more tropical flavors with a hint of salt and strong minerality. Good structure and medium acidity. Medium finish. Definitely worth drinking on the warmer side. — 10 months ago
Really nice Malbec. Mas! — 2 years ago
Great with lamb. Smokey, a bit acidic and smokey. Tasted better with a meal than standalone. — 3 years ago
Well balanced fine Malbec stored in new French oak. Black currant and tobacco tones smoothly matched to enhance its New World flavour. — 4 years ago
This is John Hobbs of Napa fame Mendoza Viña. He travels here 4-5 times a year to monitor, consult and he talks with their talented Winemaker Andres Vignoni twice a week. But, Andres does the day to day work.
On the nose, deep, dark currants. Ripe, ruby, blackberries, black raspberries. Deep dark cherries, creamy raspberries and cherries & strawberries on the glass edge. Vanilla, cinnamon, dark chocolate, beautiful loamy soils & clay with dark, fresh florals, lavender and violets.
On the palate, the body is round full & beautiful. The tannins are so soft and beautiful you hardly notice them. Dark melted chocolate bar. Ripe, bright, ruby, blackberries, black raspberries. Deep dark cherries, creamy raspberries and cherries & strawberries on the glass edge. Vanilla, cinnamon, beautiful spice that is soft dark and intensities perfectly, dark chocolate, beautiful loamy soils & clay with dark, fresh florals, lavender and violets. The fruits are gorgeous. The structure, length, balance, acidity are perfect. Some of the best I’ve had from any producer.
Photos of; Estate vines from the entrance of their Viña. Blooming Foxtails around the Viña. Beautiful and clean barrel room. Another shot from their tasting room. — 6 years ago
Inky inky purple like when I was a kid making grape kool-aid from packets of chemical plus pounds of sugar.
Smells promising- deep fruit, herb that is familiar but having a hard time identifying (maybe mint+sage?) and toasted oak.
Herbacious flavors come through along with cocoa bean and diner coffee. Good acid/tannin balance.
Not amazing, but the most enjoyable of the 3 Malbec I've tried this week.

Sipping Fine Wine
Deep inky Ruby color with complex aromas of berry fruits, floral and spicy nose. On the palate flavors, blueberry and cherry fruit with spicy herb, cacao, vanilla and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit, spice and oak. Will continue to age a bit. — 7 months ago
