Dark, near black purplish red. Blueberry compote and blackberry cobbler on the inviting nose. Full bodied palate confirms the nose with a bit of ashen oak, medium acidity, and velvety, medium plus tannins. Classic, if common, Napa Bordeaux style blend. Enjoy with higher end cuts of beef (filet Mignon, prime rib), or seriously upgrade your meatloaf as I did. Drink now through 2027. — a year ago

JPV's Insignia Label has always been considered a benchmark of Napa wines this 2006 full body blend of 95% Cabernet and 5% Verdon is no exception. One of my favourite Napa vintages this 2006 is ripe with a voluptuous aroma, smooth taste , characterized by soft dusty tannins and a touch of fruit all framed by and underlying oak.
