Deep purple; prunes, black cherries, and licorice on the nose; medium acidity; bold, but smooth tannins; tastes like red plum, sweet tabacco, blueberries, and maybe vanilla with a long peppery finish. After a long decant this wine developed a chocolate aroma on the nose, the acidity toned down, and the plums taste more like prunes. I think it's even better after the decant.
