On the nose, crack pepper, blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, blueberries & violets. On the palate, M+ powdery tannins, black cherries, blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, wood shavings, violets, dry crushed rocks, leather, tarry notes, black cherry cola, black licorice & black pepper. The fruits are certainly better quality/riper in their "Homage." The finish has sticky/meaty tannins, good acidity, nice spice and ripe fruits. — 9 years ago

Smell- massive blackberry, and some eucalyptus?
Taste- subtle blackberry and stronger on the eucalyptus. Classy. — 12 years ago
Selected from the "best of the best" barrels, our Trinity Reserve Pinot features our stellar 115 clone which elevates this vintage to new heights. All the lushness of the Classic 2012, with an added inner structure and spice on the palate. One for the table now, two for the cellar! — 12 years ago

Good zin! Yummy! — 9 years ago
I love this wine. I love this wine because it exists all the way at the 'painstakingly clean and precise' end of the skin-contact spectrum. Don't get me wrong, I love the super-natty wild and wooly and of the spectrum too. But this. This is so purely and exactly what it sets out to be. And I love it. — 9 years ago
Good blend of cab, merlot, and some zin. Not bad at all. Good darker fruits but easy tannins — 10 years ago

Always good to have a taste of home, and very little does that better than Gimblett Gravels Syrah. Great dark fruit, showing excellent leathery tones. — 8 years ago
Citrus, pineapple, green apple & melon, tropicals with white & yellow florals on the nose. Nice round texture, good chalkiness & soft minerals, wet stones, guava, pineapple, green apple, underripe melon, white peach, nectarine with nice delicate spice on the long finish. — 9 years ago
Really nice for the money. Enjoyable. — 10 years ago
Not very complex, but nice earthiness and easy to drink.. — 10 years ago
Who says cheap wine can't be good? Smoothe, balanced, and potent without turning you off. Definitely a staple for standard wine! — 11 years ago
Spectacularly soft and good, this is the type of wine for people that don't like strong full bodied wines — 11 years ago
Very good with 5 years on it! Night 1 had bold fruit and by night 2 it developed into a spicy and smoky wonderland with just a hint of salinity. — 11 years ago
Jim Schultze is a fantastic Pinot artist - I opened this as I read they opened a new tasting room http://www.wineberserkers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=103403 — 12 years ago
We had the pleasure if meeting Kelby the winemaker when he was in town last summer. We really enjoyed the wines from the Finger Lakes. — 13 years ago

A savory juicy textured herbal food pairing champ. Like cooking sous-vide with an immersion circulator, what was once a geeky oddity has found a permanent home on our table. Not a universal solution, but really the right tool for the job in certain situations. Like pan seared halibut with fennel or spring vegetable risotto. — 8 years ago
