Volcano Essence. Indigenous variety from Canary Islands. Fruity, Peppery and mineral. Bold and complex. Honest and intriguing . Rare and singular... Medium weight with mid to high tannins and balanced acidity. This is a serious wine for serious drinkers. This is a trip into tradition and knowledge. Masterfully crafted in Abona. — 6 years ago
Never heard of this grape. Very nice heavy body. Apricot? Mandarin? Enjoyed the wine. — 8 years ago

This Mexican red wine certainly feels earthy and fruity like other Valle de Guadalupe wines I have had. This wine, though comes from the Italian grape Nebbiolo, doesn’t really have the sharpness (full tannins) most Italian wines have and most often need a food pairing. This wine because it’s light, smooth and almost Zin-like without being overly sweet. — 5 years ago

Piero Incisa de la Rochetta’s (Sassicaia) pinot noir project in Patagonia, Argentina continues to deliver impressive results such as this mind blowing release, Sin Azufre. Natural wine at its best displaying tipicity, personality and approachability. For anyone into elegant Pinots with freshness, balance and value, look no further. — 7 years ago

Fantastic dry sparkling cava. Excellent for mimosas. Vaimo and I love it especially with a pineapple orange juice or pomegranate juice. — 10 years ago

Big Wave Dave
Massive jammy nose with lots of stewed prunes. Palate is much more restrained and complex. Silky mouthfeel. Still a big wine but a good lick of savoury spice. There is just enough acid and tannin to keep the beast in check. — 4 years ago
