Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2023

Montepulciano in a particularly fresh, vibrant style, but there’s depth & elegance here too. Crushed blackberries, cassis, a bit of Ribena syrup. Every time I try this maker I feel compelled to lean in a bit closer. — 6 days ago

Tiberio Pecorino 2017

Bright layered and focused. Citrus notes, crushed stone and hints of anise. A good solid wine but not exciting. — 6 years ago

Colline Pescaresi Pecorino

2015. Lemon curd, melon rinds, ocean mist, sun-warmed meadow, both weighty and bracing with an everlasting stony finish. Worth throwing a few in the cellar for a couple years. — 9 years ago

Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo 2024

Tart from the start in this vintage. Acidic backbone, glycerol bush berries, cleanses the palate with each sip. — 2 months ago

Well there is Instagram that you can make it up as well.
I need to find that uncle now that it’s come up. Cheers 🥂 to whatever you’re drinking today, it probably will not show up here for another day or two since they don’t update their App. Maybe I should make a Wine posting account on IG 🤔

Fonte Canale Trebbiano d'Abruzzo 2017

Restrained nose with white flower, ocean, and citrus, intense palate of lemon rind, saline, oyster, long finish. Tangy acidity, great to drink now but definitely well before this peak. — 5 years ago

Archivo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2017

Part of Italian wine tasting night. Full body deep rich d’Abruzzo. Jammy rich beet notes. A bit heavy for my liking or drink in the winter with a nice warm ragu. — 3 years ago

Colle Vota Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2014

Drank what was left from a bottle I Coravined a few months ago then refrigerated. Hadn’t lost any of its freshness or structure, there were only 5 or 6 ounces gone from the bottle when I opened it. Beautiful red fruit, great balance of fruit, acidity and tannin. Made from specific old vines grown on sandy soil in cool vintages. Stunner! — 7 years ago
