A little funkier than the 2012. Sweet pipe tobacco. Similar, not as big. Still nice. — 6 years ago

Not too sweet, and not too acidic. Went nicely with sushi. Purchased at Elwood Thompson. — 9 years ago
Monthly WTF wine group meet up. No true theme this month. Some wines tasted blind.
Tasted blind. Surprised this was a Zin...and only a few years old. Light in color. Not jammy or peppery. Medium acidity. Red, blue and black ripe fruits and cedar. Surprised it was 15.5 too. Also an old graham cracker note on the finish. Old school Zin. I called it older Spanish Tempranillo. Thanks @Jack Thompson — 5 years ago
Dana Thompson had the perfect description on Delectable of this wine--it's the perfect combo of Burgundy and Napa Pinot... earth, must, and fruit. Very enjoyable. — 7 years ago
The best Thompson Vineyard Syrah I've had — 8 years ago
1996 ! Absolutely remarkable. Round flavors of dried apricots, gooseberry and a little cinnamon. Still has a burst of acid and a long finish with a hint of almond (from the natural oxidation). Drink now ... It's hold it a little longer! — 8 years ago

Super drinkable, what a surprise. 2014 vintage. Would call it a straight Cabernet if I didn't know. — 7 years ago
@Luke Thompson super good easy light wine. @Rintaro — 7 years ago

Took about an hour to open up but revealed a beautiful nose of violets, blue and black fruit and spice — 8 years ago
You can feel the space that used to be filled with fruit, which for me is a good thing. More open room for this to spread out into and reveal the floral, herbal and honeyed notes that were formerly steamrolled over. A touch of oxidation starting to creep in, but for now that's a welcome addition to the whole. — 9 years ago
