A really fantastic summer scotch with notes flowers, grass, yeast, and freshly picked grains. It really jumps out of the glass with a freshness and vibrancy you’d expect more from a champagne or beer. Not super deep or rich, but that’s what makes it refreshing. Good deal too. — a year ago

Delicious. Rich caramel and honey. Smooth. Matured in American and European oak. Asks seasoned with sherry from Jerez. — 5 years ago
Lightly floral, slightly sweet and a touch of smoke (unpeated)... oily mouthfeel. Good dram. — 6 years ago
Spicy, lots of flavor — 7 years ago
A little spicey, not as smooth because of the cognac barrels. Slight fruit, a little bitter on aftertaste. No peat. $85 at target (a bit pricey) might get it if it were in the $50s. — 3 years ago
Nicely rounded with smaller cask. Maybe sherry or orloroso. Big peat per usual. — 5 years ago

One of the most fascinating single malts I’ve ever had. This is not for beginners. It’s oily and industrial in the best way, with notes of grain, honey and oak. I liked it a lot, but it felt incomplete, maybe a little one note. Certainly not an everyday drinker, but it was definitely educational. I’m looking forward to trying some of their alternative barrel offerings. EDIT: This grew on me like Kudzu, baby. I LOVE this whisky. The more I drank the more complex and interesting it became.
