Pinot Noir Shootout after a long week in Wine Bizz at where @WineWorks Marlton. Well Roar vs Roar! Both 2014! Rosella vs Pisoni! See pics.. Rosellas comes across with 15-20 minutes nice plum, tart cherry a little restrained, Yup! Probably young but O Well! After 1 Hour really opens up! Great mouth feel, good acidity really opening up! Then we try the Pisoni 2014 next! See Pic! CB 95 AFTER 2 Hours Rosellas opened even More! Giving me a humble upgrade to 97-97+! It happens to Best of us. CB — 8 years ago
First time trying this. A very good Pinot - earth and mushrooms on the nose and fruit-forward with lots of cherry, strawberry and tea on the palate. Light, bright and super smooth - this ranks up there with some of my favorites including Sea Smoke, Pisoni, and Goldeneye. — 9 years ago
Flat out Raspberries Not as dark roast as previous vintages and more approachable young. — 10 years ago
I made this wine with my husband Jeff Pisoni... And our goal is to make Sauvignon Blanc to age... So after two years in bottle the wine is holding his promise (citrusy, focus, great acidity and focus mineralogy all in)... Waiting to taste it in 10 years from now! — 10 years ago
Great fruit, complexity, finish! — 11 years ago
An inky deep red, the '11 Lucia Syrah 'Garys' Vineyard' caresses the nostrils with complex aromas of blackberry, espresso, lavender and spicy minerals. Flavors of sweet dark berry coat the palate with enough bracing minerality to keep things interesting. Finishes long, smooth and spicy sweet. — 11 years ago
Weekly Wednesday Wine Committee. Incredible hosting by Joe. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine, all tasted blind.
Bonus wines. I’ve heard of this and was happy to try. Bibiana from Wayfarer and Jeff Pisoni joint project. Bigger style SB, definitely done in the Bordeaux style. Good amount of semillon to round the edges out. High acidity. Lemon and lime tart, lychee, limestone and saline notes. Oak isn’t as powerful as Aesthete or other notable bigger style Cali SBs, but it’s certainly as flavor packed. Wish I could enjoy one of these stand alone to see how it evolves. — 6 years ago
Delish! Big juicy and silky. — 7 years ago
Fantastic wine from Paul Lato. Still very young, but has a nose reminiscent of a Pisoni pinot and a palate like a grand cru burgundy. Awesome nose of strawberry rhubarb preserve, a touch of smoke, and some high notes of tart cherries. Impeccable balance, great evolution on the palate, and a seamless finish. Will be several notches higher in a couple of years, but this is a great wine already. — 10 years ago
2011. A bit more restrained than what I'm used to from KB. Unexpectedly balanced. — 10 years ago
2006 - Still great — 10 years ago
So I got one of Bob's before he did...amazing! — 11 years ago

2010. Really love this. Super bright red fruit with nice medium body and good acidity. — 7 years ago
Founded in 1988 by Dave Miner, along with his wife Emily and his parents, Ed and Norma. Aged for 15 months on French oak (60% new), from a 50-acre vineyard planted in 1995 by Gary Franscioni and Gary Pisoni along the terraces of the Santa Lucia mountains. Aromas of fresh dark berry fruit and wonderful baking spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cranberry and cola with toasty notes, well balanced. Fine tannins on lingering finish ending with a burst of fruit. Very nice. — 7 years ago
Smoothest wine I've ever had. Dark cherry notes, chocolate, blackberry, slightly acidic. 10/10 would drink again. — 8 years ago
2013 is best Roar year. You can't get Pisoni 'cause Parker gave it a 96+ but this is a big and a knock out Pinot for $55 — 9 years ago

Got it because of the pisoni connection . nice. Prefer pisoni. But still — 10 years ago
2001: Amazing vitality for a 14 year old Pinot. Translucent ruby color that is slightly fading but not browning at all. Still some grip and acid. High toned red cherry aromas, cinnamon and a whif of wet forest floor. Drink now and over the next decade. — 10 years ago
Drinking beautifully. rich strawberry, cherry, tea and herb. lush, fully open texture. pure flavors. excellent

This was also relatively open but more complex than the Zotovich. It was my favorite Pinot of the evening. We also had the 2017 Pisoni but I failed to get a pic. The Pisoni was more complex like the Drum Canyon but I feel it will be better in the long run.
Paul Lato was in town and I had the chance to spend some time with him and taste through several of his new releases. His wines are great across the board. — 6 years ago
