Recommended by a nice fellow customer who was shopping next to me at Astor Wines...delightfully nutty and oxidized style with the words "unique experience" written all over it. A few varietals that aren't found much in modern Champagne help add to its mysterious nature...more research to be done this evening! — 10 years ago
One of my favorite wines to play "stump the chump" with, with fellow wine nerds. Grenache Gris and Carignan Blanc whatwhat? — 10 years ago
A wine crafted at my good friend and fellow music guy - Gustavo Santaolalla - domaine in Argentina. He has such passion for making the very best ....it is quite good — 10 years ago
Rich luxurious grippy tannin kept me coming back for more. Dark fruits, acidity in check, long dry finish. Perhaps not the most cab savvy in taste/smell which distracted my fellow drinker, but not me. — 10 years ago
2009. Ordinary. Drink. — 11 years ago
Barrel fermented rose, body of a red with elegance of a rose. Wild strawberries, cherry, cranberries, citrus rind, spices, mint, discreet vanilla. Full bodied with juicy red fruits, citric notes with refreshing acidity on midpalate, and a long chewy finish filled with spices, minerality, vanilla, and tannins. Out of the ordinary, a must try! — 12 years ago

I really like it when I get recos from fellow oenophiles which turn out to be spot on - @Jörgen Lindström Carlvik, take a bow.
In the glass, the wine appears to be very extracted, which I find is a pleasant first indicator. The wine coats the glass, demanding your attention.
The nose is pristine, yet urgent. Cigar notes, cherries and dark fruits are perfectly integrated.
On the palette, I'm in raptures. This is a seamless example which is tight, compact and dense. It has a viscous mouthfeel, finishing with polished tannins and a touch of sweetness.
This is a brilliant effort, which is begging for bottle age. Thanks to Jorgen, I've finally found a Sangiovese which does not require me to sell my house to buy a bottle (you get my point).
Paired with my own Sheppards pie (made from scratch). Don't hate the player, hate the game! — 9 years ago
Delicious but not your beginners' cab blend. My first sip felt gritty, but let breathe a few minutes and then it pops. Hints of strawberry, grilled bell pepper, and earth. Light tannin but mouth popping acidity. Great cab franc blend! The fruit in this value has excellent, albeit under appreciated pedigree with fruit from two of the best vineyards (Taptiel and Ciel du Chuvel) on Red Mountain, possibly the best unknown Cab region in the U.S. For those looking for an adventurous departure from ordinary cab savs, enjoy! — 10 years ago
Not your ordinary torrontes;nice spicy acidity, firm, dry, even some petrol-like hints;from San Juan, the 2012 vintage is very good right now — 11 years ago
Young, but so good. fellow Piemonte fan at our house, went into our stash. — 12 years ago
Not your ordinary, rough Cotes Catalanes. Will satisfy anyone who prefers smooth tannins and decent fruit, with a touch of the barnyard. — 9 years ago
I tasted through several Corison Napa Valley Cabernets with legendary winemaker, Cathy Corison and fellow wine writers Elaine Brown and Meg Houston Maker. 2012 was the youngest vintage we sampled, as expected it's quite youthful and fresh. Saturating aromas of black cherries, steeped blackberries, violets, and incense. In the mouth the fruit is plump, as is typical of the 2012 vintage, but this element is nicely balanced. It has the structure and stuffing to age, with lovely hints of baking spice and black pepper on the finish. — 9 years ago
Truly delicious wine, soft, but structured and well-balanced. More body and character than an ordinary Cotes du Rhone. The GSM blend (Grenache Syrah Mourvèdre) is a winner, and goes well with a wide variety of foods. — 10 years ago
Extremely interesting for ordinary kiwi Sauv Blanc. Worth the risk. Muted tropical highlights grass and herbs with an Sicilian style funk. — 10 years ago
Touch of sweet with an ordinary white wine. More for apperatives — 11 years ago
Fruity Claret with a bit of sweetness — 12 years ago

they know how to make beautiful vermintino in Corsica. This one bathed in lemony acidity but with a rich not quite creamy mouthfeel that lifts it up out of the ordinary — 9 years ago
