Picked this up at total wine they offered a tasting. It was very good with Hatch Chile chicken tacos.
Also good with steak feta & spinach — 7 years ago
Super smokey at first and I was perceiving this muted prune feel that really threw me off. Not sure what was going on. Kept drinking it in sort of a baffled and intoxicated state but eventually this went missing during the wedding party. I recovered it the next morning on a picnic table about a half mile away overlooking the Muir beach coast with about 1/6th left inside and no cork on it. Proceeded to cork it with a random and drive back to Long Beach with it. I drank it at this point about 32 hours after opening and it was righteous. Menthol and so much medicinal cherry cough syrup from the nose all the way down the hatch. Really serious juice but loving that unique character. Definitely a slow opener. 💥 — 8 years ago
Smells weird but doesn't taste that bad — 8 years ago
WOTN in heavy fire. Beat out the XXL and five shooter. Definitely a 3-1 under dog in this fight but it gets the belt. 5 hr slow oxed then down the hatch. So polished, deep and dark.... Manfred is a mad scientist with this stuff. This is the wine that changes your perception of what great really can be. — 9 years ago
Once it opened up, it was delicious. Quite a finish to our Hatch Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas. Real nice Pinot! — 10 years ago

Best Priorat down the hatch, for me. — 8 years ago
Ok you're not going to believe this but this tastes like it was made in a pine forest Really tastes of pine. Almost pine sap. A unique wine. Id say a must drink it's so different. A bit tannic and needs a year to settle In. Great with sort of odd foods that don't go with anything. I had it with chicken in hatch chili tomatillo sauce. It worked. Nice licorice finish. Very juicy. — 8 years ago
So far, it's opening up well, don't jump into it or it may disappoint, let you pallet adapt until the wine has had more sir. Acidity is balanced withhold berries. The Merlot allows it to soften up in the finish. — 9 years ago
Layered stone fruit and pear blossom, creamy texture, good weight & subtle spice tones of yellow curry. Goes down the hatch with ease!! — 9 years ago
Really enjoy this simple SB. Kiwi and some herby notes on the nose. Pear, honeysuckle, green apple down the hatch. Good structure and a nice saline finish to end it out. — 9 years ago
