Nice plum and cherry compote nose. Bit of bitterness. Dry and chocolate-y. Some funky-town. Southern French style and done well. — 9 years ago

Light barnyard, saddle and Chuck Taylors (well used). Deliciously balanced cherry, spice and a hint of wood. — 9 years ago
Soooooo delicious...bright and deep at the same time...with carbonara.... — 10 years ago
This Fifth growth was drinking very well. Great structure but tannins soften more than I had expected. Typical aromas for this blend. : 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenere. Violets, cassis, vanilla/cedar. — 11 years ago
Beautiful blend. Has staying power over a week and fills out in the glass as it warms. Looking forward to opening these over the next few years. — 11 years ago
Wonderfully zippy. That's totally a wine word. Don't doubt it. — 12 years ago
Good, but not great. Drink now. — 10 years ago

Epic! Right in the sweet spot! absolute textbook G.C.C. that is perfect proof the 1855 is a joke! I sincerely hope it never gains the Unesco status some privileged Bordelais estates are hoping for, if this is considered 'fifth league'. Champagne & Burgundy bravo however! Truly deserving of their hard-fought Unesco world heritage status. — 11 years ago
Simple and enjoyable. We do not need food for this. Refreshing rate is high with just the perfect amount of berries and LSD in my mouth. Pink wine with bubbles for this price is a novelty and just so barely acceptable even the bubbles and color do enough justice to just keep them coming...please more yes please thank you this balancing act is easy. — 11 years ago
Collio DOP 2011, 14%. Bottle taste in November 2014.
Beautiful color, luminous and slightly green.
Typical Sauvignon nose: leaves of tomatoes and geraniums.
Grapes were slightly overripe, short cryomaceration, aged large barrels. Very elegant in the mouth, with taste of sage, but I must admit that I am a Sauvignon lover. This wine won important prizes in France: very well deserved in my opinion. — 11 years ago
