one of #NY's best things: Red Cat tempura green beans, here w inexpensive, feathery light, tangy, strawberry-evoking Egger Ramer Schiava '13 (skee-ah-va) from Alto Adige — 10 years ago
this baby is a pretty pretty lady, and as close to Chambolle as i've had from Oregon. delicate aromas of little red flowers and red currant entice you to breathe deep and long. its lacy, ethereal texture alights on the palate with exceptional grace and poise, also giving currant and flower; joined by red cherry, fresh minerality and feathery tannin. the acid is precise and refreshing and the finish has considerable length. #willamette #pinotnoir — 10 years ago
This wine had both intensity and a feathery lightness-two intermingled qualities that make Savennieres such a singular and unique wine. — 10 years ago
2010 is an incredible value. truth is the acid isn't totally integrated yet, but it's still gorgeous: heady aromatics of kirsch, red flowers and baking spice also show on palate, accented by chalky minerality. fine, feathery tannin and shimmering (if overbearing) acidity complete the picture. in 2+ years this will be a masterpiece. — 11 years ago
Solid and stoic. Stony. But feathery — 11 years ago
Estate Cuvee- pale ruby robe, red fruit nose, Au Bon Climat- like light body, balance and feathery finish. — 9 years ago
Dark color. Minty medicinal, cedar, woodsy nose. The structure of this wine is impressive: tannins are feathery but with a grip, while the acid is fresh and lively throughout. Not especially fruit forward but premier example of the Italian cab style. Good value too. — 10 years ago
old vine Garnacha of superb elegance. the acidity is bright and tight, dancing with feathery tannin. nose and palate of dried raspberry and garrigue. #spanishwine #garnacha #garrigue #aragon — 10 years ago
So fresh and so clean clean. Clay soils, old river bed. Very rustic minerality and brambly fruit on nose. A savory palette, feathery touch, with a fine tannic presence that suggests a long live. Easy drinking now and a porch pounder. — 10 years ago
i am obsessed with sub-alpine nebbiolo (known as chiavenasca up here in Valtellina). 2010 is perfection, soft and enticing with dried roses and cherries, wild mushrooms, and ample, feathery tannins. — 11 years ago
Splendid. Rich, warm, feathery Pinot with bright berry notes nestled in musky yellow straw. Though a robust 13.5% alcohol, there is no burn whatsoever in this excellent buy from the Russian River Valley. I'd boat with these two bears any day. — 11 years ago
I served it as an apéritif with friends-same way Three Sticks serves it at the Adobe. Second time having this wine this year. There's a certain allure to it. Maybe the stubby whiskey bottle and label add to the interest. Some what of Rhone styled wine displaying a rich, deep visual in the glass, elegant. Nose plays a peek-a-boo with floral, muddled black fruits and chocolate. Balanced and lush somewhat creamy mouth feel, showing firm cassis, berry compote and maduro cigar. Feathery finish that picks up the white grape used in the field blend, ending with mild spice and oak. Well done indeed. — 9 years ago

The wine's lychee bouquet is light, and seems to befit its appearance: a pellucid yellow with the merest green cast. The taste is more sophisticated than most affordable Gewürztraminers, offering feathery acidity, minerality, and alcohol to nicely offset the expectation of sweetness. — 10 years ago
A 69th birthday gift from my first born son who fancies himself a somewhat learned wine connoisseur. I must agree that this Chardonnay is buttery smooth leaving a light and feathery finish. I think he made the perfect choice for this most memorable occasion! — 10 years ago

Aromatic, green and yellow fruit, creamy and elegant nose, mineral and lemon curd nose. Palate is light, feathery, and balanced with great acid. Like great qba. Unfortunately, only 40 cases made. Get it quick — 11 years ago

Bright, feathery & filled with light. Has a perceptible crunch that adds texture to acids' bite. — 9 years ago
