Nice herbal spice, very gibbston — 8 years ago
Another one with sort of cheesy aromas think cottage cheese... but mixed in with dried fruit and some citrus and red berries — 9 years ago
Really loving this. Vibrant nose of carbonic red fruit/cherry/raspberry, flowers/hibiscus/rose, savoury herbs. Drinking it is very enjoyable. The fruit is more sour cherry/cranberry balanced by those herb notes and with some dirt/earth minerality. Blind, I would probably call this Beaujolais. — 9 years ago
Great wine. Served with molasses cake, cottage cheese — 10 years ago
This wine is killer. Everyone loves Napa Valley fruit... But Napa Mountain fruit?! Forget about it! Love the Howell mountain! The red fruit nose jumps out of the glass but then it shows its age mixing in spices: cocoa powder, cardamom, and tobacco. Delicious! — 10 years ago
At the cottage paired with a Veal Chop with mushrooms and Pineau des Charentes sauce. A very expressive and pleasant nose of black fruit, blackberries and spices such a star anise. The palate is deliciously juicy and chewy, with nice, classy, silky, soft and elegant tannins that are very typical texture wise of a good Chambolle. Very balanced and delicious wine in this generous vintage. 91-92
91-92 — 5 years ago
Smooth many hints of an outstanding wine. For $20 priced very nicely — 7 years ago
Bubbles from rocks. Sparkling pure Saumur Chenin Blanc smells of apple, raspberry, flowers, and a pristine mountain spring. The bubbles lift its wiry structure to balance before a finish of wet stone. Romantic, in the way that hand-hewed beams in a cozy cottage might be romantic. — 8 years ago
Tasted at NZ cellar Pinot tasting. Light, savoury with nice acidity. Ted Lemon from Littorai is the consultant winemaker. — 9 years ago

Easy drinking, good flavour. — 8 years ago
Howell Mountain never disappoints, cassis, black fruit, some plum, tobacco, leather, lots of minerals. Nice long finish, with some tannins still present. Outstanding. — 8 years ago
Raisins, not cloyingly sweet. Serned with a buttery cake w lemon, a molasses cake with bay leaf-infused cottage cheese — 10 years ago
