Wow! Fab for the money. £12 tastes like £30. Almost like a classy reserve Rioja; Smooth, very well balanced, juicy & fruity with great acidity and structure. Mouth watering with cherry, leather and tobacco on the nose. Best PV I’ve had in a fair while... — 6 years ago
Delicious dessert wine between port and Madeira- not as sweet as the latter. It’s delicious! — 7 years ago
Holy shit. Amazing acidity still at the core with deep amber toffee, bananas foster for miles & miles on the nose. Palette was that killer acidity with saline on the edge. Ruch nuttiness throughout. Steller. — 8 years ago

One of a kind Grillo. Went away for a week with a half a bottle left in fridge. Came home and it was still fantastic if not deeper in flavour and more balanced. Serious stuff. Big structure. Tastes of the coast of Sicily. 2011 vintage — 10 years ago

A very special wine, made only in years where Sebastiano (Marco’s son) is able to fully ripen his Zibibbo/Muscat. Interestingly it’s made only from the offshoots of the cluster. If you love aromatic dances (like I do), this is for you. Micro-detailed imagery of salty lemons, Valencia orange, and green herbs - bone dry and delicate but with a little body from some time in oak and on skins. Unfiltered pale gold beauty. — 5 years ago
Mycket gott med "pasta verona", delice de burgogne och parmesan. — 7 years ago
Had this at mockingbird in Oakland. Loved it. Some floral notes also slightly peppery. Fairly full bodied — 7 years ago
Not a lot of fruit, but a ton of minerality and some nice texture. — 8 years ago

My first Marsala. — 7 years ago
Quite exceptional. Drank alone over a couple of hours. A master class in winemaking. Grillo with skin contact, native yeasts, and unfined/unfiltered, characteristic citrus notes of lemon, grapefruit, and a touch of overripe lime with notes of orange peel and umami bomb yeast autolytic notes. It continued to evolve, showing various bread and citrus expressions without giving up. A sensational wine from a winemaker I've come to respect. — 7 years ago
First time for me - 100% Grillo. Green almonds and hazlenuts immediately transported me back to being at seppeltsfield tasting show reserves from the early 1900s. Stunning. — 10 years ago
Di un delicato color buccia di cipolla, brillante e dal perlage finissimo. Al naso lamponi, rosa e spezie; in bocca secco, fragola essiccata e prugna, ricco e pieno. — 10 years ago
