Di un delicato color buccia di cipolla, brillante e dal perlage finissimo. Al naso lamponi, rosa e spezie; in bocca secco, fragola essiccata e prugna, ricco e pieno. — 11 years ago
A unique and very attracting wine - Fermentation of Grillo grapes with wild yeasts in barrels of 500 l capacity and aging of 12 months on its lees, 30 months aging - it was a project from Renato. - a lovely wine to pair with food 😃👍 — 13 years ago
Forget contemporary Marsala. Here is the closest, modern relative of the ancestral wine made in Marsala wine region, the Perpetuum. Stellar. — 13 years ago

More of an oxidative approach. Orange, brown spice, vinous. This style works well with the grape from a solid winemaker. — 13 years ago

Quite exceptional. Drank alone over a couple of hours. A master class in winemaking. Grillo with skin contact, native yeasts, and unfined/unfiltered, characteristic citrus notes of lemon, grapefruit, and a touch of overripe lime with notes of orange peel and umami bomb yeast autolytic notes. It continued to evolve, showing various bread and citrus expressions without giving up. A sensational wine from a winemaker I've come to respect. — 8 years ago
Holy shit. Amazing acidity still at the core with deep amber toffee, bananas foster for miles & miles on the nose. Palette was that killer acidity with saline on the edge. Ruch nuttiness throughout. Steller. — 9 years ago

Powerful red, oak aged wine made in Sicily, Marsala area, by Merlot and Syrah. Vibrant acidity, nice tannins, round in the mouth. Amazing with pork. — 13 years ago
#westsicilywine Several Grillo base wines and a part of Vecchio Samperi in the tirage, a metode classique very complex and rich. A unique experience for only 1,200 bottles. — 13 years ago

Wow! Fab for the money. £12 tastes like £30. Almost like a classy reserve Rioja; Smooth, very well balanced, juicy & fruity with great acidity and structure. Mouth watering with cherry, leather and tobacco on the nose. Best PV I’ve had in a fair while... — 8 years ago
