Excellent value. Earthy, fruit forward with pleasant spice and tannins. — 7 years ago
Memorable wine and reunion. Barolo 1971. Kept its structure, strong hints of berries. Had it with Sergi after 24 years, and Ferruccio. Paired it with toma cheese, antipasto piemontese di verdure, agnolotti al plin, salame di cinghiale, cipollotti bolliti. MEMORABLE — 8 years ago

New winery to me. Poggio Della Dogana. @Delectable Wine - killer nose. Deep and floral. Foresty. Smells like a lot of death is here. Ripe, deep and juicy. Black cherry galore and velvety tannins and very fresh. Long finish. Great. — 5 years ago
CC Gran Selezione. Needs a full day’s aeration to move from high-toned to full-on freight train of raspberry, sage, summer savory and saddle shop. Tremendous grip and length; superfine tannins. Superior. #poggioalsole #casasilia #chianticlassico #granselezione — 7 years ago
Moores. 2016. $18. Very good year after year. — 8 years ago
I don't know a lot about wine but this was recommended to me by someone who clearly does. This wine went very well with filet mignon. It is a delight to the palate and has a nice combination of sweet and dry. The sweetness complimented the steak well. Overall this was a great wine for me! — 9 years ago

Our last lunch in Priorat at a little restaurant in Falset, and no formal notes but keen to try again. Interestingly this winery was started by Dominik Huber and the irrepressible Eben Sadie of South African Syrah fame. This was a typical rich Priorat blend of mainly Grenache with Carignan. Full bodied and savoury with black fruits and plenty of liquorice — 3 years ago
