Primarily Narello Mascalese. Light ruby color with garnet highlights. Lovely aromas of strawberry, minerals and copper. The palate also features strawberries, raspberries, orange and fresh herbs. Hint of Smokey tar on the finish. Medium body and tannins. Beautifully elegant and well crafted. Wonderfully consistent vintage to vintage. Thank you for opening this one, Ron B! — 2 years ago

Great cru from the Etna, great fruit, cool wine from hot area, altitude delivers the freshness, burgundy style (feels light, but has power), great combo with lamb filet from the BBQ — 7 months ago
The best limoncello. — 4 years ago
Tasted semi-blind and wrote down the same thing I did for the 2018: it smells like church! I’m trying to figure out why I wrote it, but the minerality is similar to what you smell when you enter an old white marble church. Maybe some of the florals too?

#Italianwine 🍇. Blend change. Two of my fav grapes. Sangiovese and Merlot grapes make a magnificent blend. Full body, elegant and earthy fragrance., dry finish, perfect balance. So elegant! We met Luca, the winemaker. He explained his production and region. Was excited. Interesting. @pignettis — 6 years ago
