Primarily Narello Mascalese. Light ruby color with garnet highlights. Lovely aromas of strawberry, minerals and copper. The palate also features strawberries, raspberries, orange and fresh herbs. Terre Nere Campigli Vallone Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2018: Medium bodied. Perfect balance between tannins & acidity. Fruity youthful taste. Bright fresh notes of red fruits; additional tobacco, herbs & spice. Dry soft finish. Overall, high QPR for this Montalcino Sangiovese; a great vintage even though it’s a younger & lighter Rosso but it can easily compete with more expensive Brunellos! Highly recommend.
