Monte De Oro

Cuvée de Oro Red Blend 2018

Every year is a different adventure for this blend - and this year is also very good. 37% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre. Portions aged in French and oak barrels. Aromatic dark fruit. Smooth black cherry and blackberry with a touch of nutmeg and pepper on the palate. Earth, leather and tobacco on the finish. More fruit forward day 1 and more earthy day 2. — 2 months ago

Monte De Oro

Simplexity Red Wine 2018

I must reward consistency. Another delightful year of their Meritage style blend. This year it’s a different blend of Merlot, Malbec, Petite Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Lovely nose with complex fruit and spice flavors, mouth watering acidity, and smoothness throughout with just enough tannins for a pop and a pleasant lingering finish. So drinkable on opening! — 8 months ago

Monte De Oro

Owner's Blend Synergy 65 Temecula Valley Syrah Blend 2016

Returned to excellence this year. Bright fruity nose, deep burgundy color, juicy mouthwatering on the palate - slight effervescence - lots of layers of well balanced Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah, Cab Franc, and Cab Sauvignon. Mild lingering finish with effervescence returning. Slightly sweet but the balance and complexity make it a pleasant experience. — 3 years ago

A Tribute to Grace Wines

Hofer Vineyard Grenache 2019

What can I say I love anything Angela makes, and the new Tribute to Grace tasting room in Los Alamos is a gem. My Dad declared this was his favorite wine ever and my mom is from nearby Cucamonga, so let’s just say everyone was happy. For that reason, wine of our trip out west after not seeing the folks for 18 months. As always, just incredibly elegant Grenache, light on its feet, but not without its nuanced power — 2 years ago
