Really like this kimoto Junmai.
Smells like bran flakes with banana and milk with the merest hint of white peoper and ripe nectarine.
Complex mushroom and chestnut on the palate with a good dollop of acidity and umami. Delicious — 9 years ago

Color: rose gold.
Character: light; refreshing; sweet, but well balanced; crisp.
Not as floral as some other sake's out there; more fruity. Taste of plum is distinct mid palette, then tapers off. The taste of plum isn't distracting.
Again, very well balanced. — 11 years ago

Candylike aromas on the nose of pear and red apple, bubblegum, cherry blossom. Sweet cherry blossom and honey on the palate with a big dose of anise, red and black licorice. Pure and crystalline but just a bit oversweet and medicinal to me. — 9 years ago
Silky melon and cucumber with touches of lemon and anise. Smooth dry finish. — 9 years ago

Tentaka Shuzo, Tentaka Kuni, "Hawk in the Heavens." Tochigi Pefect, Junmai Sake. My wife loved this with Sushi. Pretty fragrant with subtle hints of berries. Only had a small sip as she didn't want to share. — 9 years ago

At Dyptique, Cheval Blanc Maldives. Not a huge amount on the nose. Creamy, ambrosia, no obvious florals. On the palate, off dry but creamy. Delicious. Rice pudding and cream notes - lovely texture and some obvious acidity. Long finish. Very enjoyable. — 8 years ago
