There's a lot to like about this whisky. There's also quite a lot not to like. The intense vanilla, caramel, mocha flavors are delicious and sustain beautifully. However, there isn't the elegance or smoothness of a great whisky. Better than most large production options at a similar price point and a worthy addition to the home bar.

Boca Resort... Crew... Simply one of the best wines that I have ever had... Eyes shut, had the smell of Tokaji (how is that even possible)? So incredibly superior to a 1967 that I cracked within the last two years... I don't think even a grand Somm could identify this wine... So un-Amerone, but so F-King GOOD!!!! — 7 years ago

Today I am tasting the 2005 Chateau de Reignac Bordeaux Superior Red Blend. This was given to me by a very good friend for Memorial Day.
The color is a beautiful deep garnet. On the nose are dark fruits, fig, black plum, blackberry, black currant, raisins, bakers chocolate and licorice.
The dark fruit continues on through to the palate. Ripe black plum, blackberry, black currant, black cherry, clove, licorice and it is very earthy.
This right bank Bordeaux is full bodied with medium acidity and there is a mouth full of sandy, sweet medium + tannins.
This is a nice blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. Given that this is a 2005 vintage makes for a very enjoyable Bordeaux Blend.

Each nose had something the other didn't. The 07 was superior to drink for sure. 08 maybe beginning to oxidize. — 8 years ago
Fantastic red from the Douro made with the oldest vines known to mankind. Dry finish, great deep red and great value for money. — 9 years ago
Made under the Ripassa method, gaining complexity with time and a superior length. Have years in front but can be consumed anytime from now, its high alcohol content and acidity assures many more years to come. — 10 years ago
A decent expression of Slovenian orange, but not particularly excellent. — 6 years ago

Spectacular wine from Hungary. Goes perfect with local cuisine. — 7 years ago
Good chardonnay (with a hint of sauvignon blanc). Great, but $20 — 8 years ago
I must be a sherry man, because I fucking love this. Not overpoweringly sweet, and it's got some heat. I picked up notes of hazelnuts, almonds, and sun dried grapes. I'm about to go buy another bottle, and start using it as an aperitif. — 8 years ago
Purchased 30 yrs ago. The tastes were, raisins, orange peels, walnuts and chocolate. The taste last a full minute. Wow — 8 years ago
Delightful inexpensive red from the Upper Douro. 2014 vintage. — 9 years ago
Wonderful wine! Superior balance, incredible layers of dark red and black fruits that are very well intertwined with mineral and barrel tones. Balanced, beautiful and not over bearing. Not a lean wine but not a fat wine either. — 9 years ago
Poliittisesti nimeltään arka, mutta erinomaisen raikas Chardonnay Maltalta. Ei tammea. — 10 years ago
After having some mishaps with older vintages (a corked 04 and oxidized 06) I’m very happy to report that this was in fantastic shape. Really broad and expressive from the get go, with a ton of white flowers on the nose. Maybe not quite as zippy or palate coating as a superior vintage would be, but a lovely drink indeed! — 6 years ago
Lemony citrus light tangerines, sea salt and honeysuckle nose and a hinyvof young green bell pepper. Semi sweetness with honey honey honey. Nice viscosity, light weight for the honey tongue. Ripe juicy nectarine with a surprising acidic lilt in the lengthy soft finish. Side-by-side tasted with 2015. 2015 is the superior year in that it is a better expression of the grape. — 6 years ago
Love this 2015 straight from Punta del Gadsden — 7 years ago
Wow. Wish I could find this wine in the US. — 7 years ago
Ripe pears, apricots and the scent of roasted nut. Evocative of autumn, kicking crisp orange leaves and wearing a slightly scratchy sweater. I'm an oak fan so this is nice but may be heavy. Not so much a summer or spring sipper. Roast chicken or robust cheese with crusty bread. — 8 years ago
This is Setubal Superiore, 1962 Dessert wine from Portugal. Just a fabulous Port with a tawny was and nutty flavor. Something real special — 8 years ago
Once in awhile WTSO comes through. This guy shows his age, but in a distinguished way. There is some sweet oak, but I find it well integrated and, overall, very enjoyable. — 9 years ago
