2011 La Storia Trentadue Sonoma Cab. Another "I never would have found this if not for my personal shopper Kelli at McCarthy and Schiering in Seattle" winner. Big Time Somoma cab with all that you want in a Cali cab; big fruit, extremely smooth finish with not too much oak and tannin but very deep color and just a mouthful of WOW. Hard to believe this is 19-yr old Dolcetto. Earthy stewy cherry with nice acids and soft soft mouthfeel. Shows its age in some ways but also feels strangely timeless - like a pretty older woman who’s never had any work done. — 6 years ago
