Another favorite wine from Molinos, in Salta, Argentina. — 9 years ago
Got all my fave Rioja notes but there was something green-stemmy there on the nose and palate that went one step past wet forest floor. Dunno if longer rest will help but I've got 3 more of these so we'll see. — 10 years ago
Great Nebbiolo at this price — 10 years ago
Medium/heavy body, light tannins, cherry, medium acidity — 10 years ago
Always a great value, a definite step up in 2014. Great balance, and just plain drinkable. Rosé QPR champ. #kogodwinemerchant #letstaste10roses — 11 years ago
This is a step down from Butteaux. Never heard of this vineyard. Lovely wine, holding strong after 7 years. Just less precise and more aged feeling. — 8 years ago
(Catching up from 6/23 - JB’s Pig Roast) just a half-step behind the Allemand, but a great wine and generous pull (as always) by @Bill Bender. The Syrahs ruled the evening at JB’s House of Burgundy. — 8 years ago
Had the 2014 was great — 9 years ago
Still wonderful but a half step behind the last several tastings. — 9 years ago
Interesting wine- Pomelo and a slight tropical fruit. Round, medium palate of unripe green apple and minerals. Paired nicely with smoked paprika spiced ratatouille and polenta. Would not have guessed a Sauv Blanc when first opened. — 11 years ago
So close to the RD — 8 years ago
Perfect for a late dinner as you step of an flight to come home. Crisp edge on the finish and the distinct Pinot Meunier flavors give it a nice kick/grip. — 8 years ago
This wine has an apple and lime interplay, with matchstick, pencil, lemon oil and hazelnut scents forever. Gas lamp, briny yellow olive, lemon pith, lemon seed, white clay, clean smoke. Such an easy, deft and focused wine. Puts some pep in your step. #Bourgogne #bourgogneblanc #frenchwine #whiteburgundy #whitewine #burglove — 9 years ago
A step ahead of 1er cru Puligny with even more neutrality and nuances. It's milder, more subtled, backed with light smoky characters. On the palate, it tastes so balanced, with a touch of oak/cream, minerality driven, balanced sweetness/acidity. The everlasting finish is focused, but evolving and lively. Well structured and elegant — 10 years ago
Sweet oak is seem less. Reasonably narrow on the palate. — 11 years ago

Nice wine - definitely a step up in complexity from a “normal” white. I would recommend this wine to anyone looking to understand what an ocean-like salinity really tastes like as that sensation is quite intense here. Loads of acid but still balanced. — 7 years ago
