Berry and jammy with a very long scotch like finish.

With a ham and gruyere tart. Smokey, leathery, peppery and a bit oaky. Drank second glass after aeration and it subdued a bit of the oak (not my favorite).

The wine was very good and I was pleasantly surprised due to the reasonable price. Agree that it should always be kept on hand at home.

A good go to malbec. Full, a little oak and vanilla. Only about $10.

Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.

Nice fruity nose of blackberries, figs, sweet plums, cherries, smoke, bell pepper, vanilla, oak, licorice, coke, coffee, chocolates, light spices and black pepper.

Full-bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and nice legs.

Fruity and dry on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, plums, sweet cherries, earth, sage, wood, chocolates, light vanilla, coke, graphite, spices and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with smooth, fine grained tannins and tart raspberries.

A very enjoyable Malbec at a great price. Smooth and well-balanced with nice acidity that makes it interesting. Nice complexity on the palate and simpler on the nose.

A good sipping wine, that will be nicely paired with a piece of steak on the grill.

A little tight at the beginning, and needs one hour to open up. If you let it open up, this would be a great party wine as well.

Drinks now much nicer, and not as harsh, than younger vintages.
This was my last 2012. Now I have to get some more and wait a few years for them to blossom.

Aged for 9 months in Oak barrels.

14% alcohol by volume.

Dark inky in color with a purplish rim.

Light barnyard on the nose with black currants, cherry pie, smoke, coffee, blackberries, plums, oak, licorice, vanilla, spices, alcohol, earth, green pepper and black pepper.

Full bodied with a nice mouthfeel, medium acidity and long legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, ripe cherries, black currants, oak, chocolates, vanilla, vegetables, mocha, cloves, earth, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with firm, yet elegant tannins, and tart cherries.

A nice Malbec from Mendoza. Well balanced with nice fruits and acidity to make it interesting. Yummy by itself, but also great with a piece of steak.

Needs a couple of hours to open up, but drinking well right out of the bottle too. Even better at this low price point.
