Not actually a wine, but a really good bottle of beer, enjoyed while my daughter was back home from WSU for the Stanford-WSU Football game — 13 years ago
Now this was good... Cherry and spice that I can't name.... Me, Mone, and Dom P. ...and yes, that's my daughter's polar bear. Tips for all you dads, bring the stuff animal with you on the business trips and text your daughter picks... I need her in Stanford someday and not a strip joint!!! — 10 years ago
What a surprise, from the farthest back corner of the wine cellar. Too cold unfortunately, cloudy from suspended stuff. Nice dark color with orange edges of course. Still showing some fruit but not the high notes; sweetness in the finish. No off flavors or weirdness. More nose than most wines of any age I've had lately. Bought at Beltramo's for $9, way back when, probably during sabbatical at Stanford 1984. Very nice with burritos from Anna's, a scene sort of like the one at the end of Sideways. A really remarkable wine, worthy of fine dark Swiss chocolate.. — 10 years ago
Fantastic Viognier.
Had it at Ravens Restaurant in the Stanford Inn in Mendocino, which always has an interesting selection of Mendocino wines. — 11 years ago
