This current vintage, 2020, is the best I’ve had over the last few. This funky, crunchy blend of mostly Carignan with a splash of Pais, has been a consistent favorite in my house for its immense drinkability, freshness, and individuality. This wine scratches a specific itch every time. — 4 years ago
Feet up and game on In the lounge. Time to kick it off with some BSR. Ahhhh!
Showing some leaner & more restrained fruits of; strawberries, watermelon near the rind, cherries, orange citrus-blood orange, tangerine, pink grapefruit with a splash of sugar and black cherries. Still showing their signature, soft, powdery, chalkiness with an edge of a razor. Seashell fossil, sea spray-saline, baguette crust, pink roses and florals. The acidy is always crisp and dead on for my palate. The long, rich, well balanced, polished finish persists nicely.

I am proud to introduce an Italian Super Tuscan that I have been looking for for years! This is a wonderful example of a cabernet Franc at 30%!!!!! And a cabernet sauvignon blend. If you want an affordable cab / cab franc - one of my favorites, you absolutely have to try this one. Please note, if I give a wine a perfect score it means I would be happy to serve it to anyone at anytime with my 100% confidence that they will love it and want it and love me for it!!!! OMG. This is awesome! Here we go, this is Brancatelli, Valle Delle Stelle, Toscana 2013! It is only 13.5 %! First, decant for 30 minutes!!!! The color is dark but not opaque! The legs are long, thick, slow, and numerous in number. The bouquet is sweet cherry pie baking in the oven with a spicy aroma and a fig tree with rip figs. The initial palate is of coarse blackberry and dark currant with a mid palate explosion of vanilla and spice. The finish is oaky and dry leaving you wanting a splash of water to wet your palate! I adore this wine! — 8 years ago
Sweet, fruity. — 9 years ago
1997 and holding up very well. Brisket, prune and baked plum, graphite sparkles, dried red currant, crumbly rose petal, cedar sawdust and baked black currant. Rich and half dried black cherry, similar with black currant, velvety thick robe of tannin, dark chocolate with dried raspberries, violets and cinnamon, fresh raspberry, mild black pepper, coffee splash and long long graphite shine. Amazed at the quality here, and stunned by the longevity.

Light white, nothing special. Got from Splash wines at $4/bottle so price is right — 5 years ago
Dominated by a cool climate Syrah character - lavender, violet, olive. This year Syrah is 40% of the bunch, only 30% last year and the rest to Carignan. This extra splash makes this a darker, more expressive, less vibrant wine. It’s better though, with plenty of fruit. Blackberries, dark ripe raspberries, slippery texture, and good tannin. — 5 years ago
Love this wine! Great QPR..Grenache...Carignan....Syrah...and a splash of Mourvedre. Berries..spice..violets..and dark chocolate! Costco $12.99..balance is spot on! Love my Sunday night (post weekend to work) wine! I hope everyone had a nice Easter!!🐣 — 6 years ago

A dark ruby-red saturating splash of a strong yet lighter-bodied Zin. Steady balance. A strong but slightly muted acidity. Lightly dry cotton chalkiness and minerality with a simple, densely-woven velvet texture. A subtly-dense, penetrating, and semi-lush blend of flavors: plum, blackberries, tobacco, cedar, spice, dark chocolate, coffee beans. Lingering blanket of smooth oaky flavor with staying power. This wine won't be for everyone; it has a very particular identity and will be a bit too daring for some. — 8 years ago
Made with fruit from Tignanello estate, mostly Sangiovese with a splash of Cab Sauv, and a few others, aged in French and Hungarian oak for 12 months, cooler vintage than ‘17, lighter fruit character. Deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits with notes of floral and sweet spices. On the palate flavors of raspberry, cherry and red plum with licorice, cacao and vanilla oak. Firm rich tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, toasty vanilla and earthy tobacco. Good now but will improve over next 5 years. — 3 years ago
Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits and sweet spice, blend has a splash of Syrah and Petit Verdot. On the palate flavors of blackberry and juicy black raspberry with notes of cacao and licorice. Fine easy drinking tannins, medium+ finish ending with nice berry mouthfeel. Good value! — 4 years ago
9.5%!! Very clean and easy, bone dry, lemon, fine bubbles. — 6 years ago
A wonderful tasting put on by Classic Wine Storage featuring Long Shadows Winery. If you aren’t familiar with these wines, they are phenomenal WA state wines that are made by the likes of Randy Dunn, Phillipe Melka, Michel Rolland, John DuVall, and more.
Dominant Sangiovese with some cab and a splash of Syrah. Rich style sangio wine. Sweet oak, dirty cherries, herbs, and a high percentage/bitter dark chocolate. — 7 years ago
Nicely balanced cooler climate Syrah. Blueberries to blackberries, a splash of viogner helps with aromatics. Still young, have another bottle for later. Hudson ranch, Weill, & alder springs make up most of the blend. Another steal at $20 — 8 years ago
Try it with a splash of lime juice — 9 years ago

Biodynamic Pinot Blanc with a splash of Auxerrois.
Fresh nose, herby, salty, mineral with the typical Alsace note of summer meadow & ripe orchard fruit.
Nice mouthfeel, a bit rounder & creamier yet beautifully balanced with zesty acidity, ripe pears, Mirabelle plums and orange zest. Finished off with a mineral, salty, stony note.
Very nice for summer terrace sipping but also a great food wine! — 3 years ago
