A solid Rioja. Well rounded. — 8 years ago
Ripe fruit gives way to baking spices baking spices baking spices. Jammy but not overly so. This is a unique little number, very interesting and agreeable — 9 years ago
A solid $12 dinner cab — 10 years ago
First taste reminded me of Firenze in that the leather belts and purses were on the nose. Lots of floral arrangements now, solid round, very nice as always. Shout out to my 1 follower @Bill Bender ... it's my birthday and my goal is to be drinking at your level next year!

Solid wine with great aromas and decent finish. — 10 years ago
Drinking well right now. Not much on the finish but a solid wine from Stag's Leap. — 11 years ago
Doesn't get much better than this one. Solid wine on all fronts. #jesusblood — 12 years ago
Classic CA cab. Not very complex but great fruit, very well structured, Solid 89. — 7 years ago
Super Solid, just what you need with a seared duck breast. Not as deep as some siblings in the CG still you couldn't ask for much more and what a value ! — 10 years ago
Pound for pound, one of the most solid zins out there. Blackberries, raspberries, spices galore. — 10 years ago
Solid. Needs some time. — 11 years ago
Bottle 2. Vietti is so solid. Very balanced expression of Nebbiolo, not too tight, light fruit and tar on the palate. Price point at Aldo Sohm is stupid good. — 12 years ago
Solid, delicious, the least ostentatious kind of wine. No frills, no worries. This stuff is great. — 13 years ago
Had several bottles over last 9 mos, aging well! Deep ruby color and aromas of dark fruit, berries, mint and cedar, with a slight earthy scent. The wine is a blend of 86% Cab Sauv, 9% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot & 1% Cabernet Franc and aged for 20 months in 30% new French oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry & sweet plum with oak and cacao. This full bodied wine finished with notes of tobacco and earthy notes, oak, well balanced with solid tannin structure. Delightful! Great value. — 6 years ago
Strong dark cherry. I think solid body but wife thinks light. Some alcohol heat at the finish. Great value for price. — 7 years ago
Father in law casually opens this up in on a Sunday. What is he sick in the head?! Solid wine... still a baby. Give it time to mature and it'll rock your socks. So much is going on here: floral on the nose, and dark ripe berries on the palate. I can still taste it 15 mins later... — 9 years ago
Dark ruby red, almost black at its center. The nose is bold and alluring with aromas of cherry, prune, vanilla, cinnamon, brand new cedar chest, and the occasional flick of black table pepper right to the back of the nostrils. Medium bodied with solid structure but still smooth and lush. Flavors of blackberries, plums, mint and pencil lead. It finishes with plums, mint, and some big tannin. — 10 years ago
Leather and sous bois and one brambles. Lovely and balanced. Still solid. Buy. — 10 years ago
Cold winter night...solid claret... Needed a little time showing well.finish was a tad short — 10 years ago
Really solid Cab, a bit more tannic, which I enjoyed. — 10 years ago
Wonderful soft mixed fruit that have blended into classic claret. Decanted three hours and it was solid food wine all evening. Our 40th anniversary pre-wine. Not tannic like most '75's- mid weight with a nice aromatic finish - a joy to drink. — 11 years ago
Very nice - rich and dark but not overly heavy. Solid choice. Pairs nicely with beef! — 11 years ago
Very nice nose and palate. Lovely long finish. Good solid fruit. — 12 years ago

Birth year vintages are a roll of the dice but luckily I landed on a pretty solid classic - 1978. So for my birthday this year, we opened an LLC and wow was this perfect. The sommelier was surgical in removing the cork which split in half but he managed to extract it. The nose on this wine was a 10 - loads of cassis, licorice, dusty library and leather. Palate was extracted cassis, leather and great acidity and liveliness, just like my 44 year old self. It’s just pure magic when bottles this old perform - happy Friday everyone. — 4 years ago
