My first Idaho wine and I have to say, this is good. Really good. Nicely perfumed nose of violets, black fruit and white pepper. Smooth and soft flavors of blackberry, ripe plum and black pepper. Only downside is the 14.8% alcohol gives a bit of heat on the finish. — 10 years ago
2012 Sawtooth Syrah, Snake River Valley, #Idahowine @sawtoothwinery this is a big, smoky Syrah and a bit more meaty than previous vintages. Aromas of smoke, blueberry and dark plum laced with espresso and toasted almond. Firm tannins and a vvety texture. Probably could benefit from 6 more months bottle age. #wine #sommelier #syrah #idaho #sawtooth — 11 years ago
Very nice yellow amber color. Smell of peaches and some grapefruit. Taste is well balanced with sweet and flavors with grapefruit notes — 12 years ago
V15. Nicely balanced. Toasty nose. Buttery pear, Apple and soft honey kissed fruit. Creamy oak finish. — 8 years ago
From the cellar. Big bold beefy Syrah, iodine, dark fruit just big and lingering in the mouth. Morgan (aka rain man) makes a mean Syrah but this shows they need some bottle age. Beautiful. Too bad he doesn't make this anymore. — 8 years ago
Deeply mineral and fruity with an excellent fruit and cedar nose. — 8 years ago
Fantastic Bordeaux blend. Is fruit forward with dark cherries, some jam qualities, vanilla on the finish but nice tannins and acidity to keep it very interesting. — 8 years ago
Super lovely. Black currant and a bit of dill, super velvety. Idaho? — 9 years ago
Winner winner. Great stuff! Hint of caramel. Mellow hops. Nothing bitter at the finish. — 9 years ago
Love it! Such a great IPA! — 9 years ago
Bright and clean nose with notes of green apple, chalk and stone. Complex and dry on the palate but with a lingering not note of fruitiness. Flavors of pear, peach and slate and laced with a lingering chalkiness that continues through the finish. — 10 years ago
Fruity, crisp and light. Like sitting next to a pear tree on a breezy spring afternoon. — 10 years ago
A few years in the cellar did this good. Brothy, savory and delicious. — 11 years ago

Last bottle of a case. End of summer. Just as enjoyable. Almost clear. Very crisp. Grapefruit and minerals. Good acidity. Summer at the beach in a glass. Excellent with clams, crabs, and corn. — 10 years ago
Beautiful pink color. Light fruity aroma. Heavy tannin, earthy floral, sexiness — 10 years ago
Its a little sweet but a nice balance for someone (like myself) new to the world of red wine. — 11 years ago
